    摘要: In the expander (50) in a drum brake, when the brake is activated, the sleeve (56) is extended in the lateral directions in the drawing by the wedge (52) inserted within the housing (51), and the shoe engaged with the clip (58) is swung to press the lining (23) against the drum, and friction braking is performed. When the lining (23) wears away and the amount of movement of the sleeve (56) increases, the sleeve (56) is rotated by reciprocal action with a drive ring (62) that is engaged with the periphery of the sleeve and, thereby, the pressing screw (57) screwed thereon comes out by the amount of the increase of movement (the amount of wear on the lining). A flat surface (56c) is formed on the periphery of the sleeve and the detecting head (80) of the displacement detection apparatus detects the rotation of the sleeve (56).

The conductive layer is composed of a material having a specific resistance lower than the specific resistance of the auxiliary resilient layer. The auxiliary resilient layer is composed of a material having a yield point and an elastic modulus higher than the yield point and the elastic modulus of the conductive layer.

    摘要: A pin contact of a connector and a method of fabricating the pin contact which enables a substantial decrease of manufacturing cost, and smooth installation of the pin connector without a change in the pitch of arrangement at the time of press-fitting into a pin housing. A flat metal sheet undergoes blanking and pressing to form a narrow piece including a strip portion of decreased area of a fracture. Then an approximately L-shaped connecting portion is bent at right angles to raise the narrow piece sideways. Thereafter the strip portion of the narrow piece is pressed along the direction of rising, to thereby form an approximately cylindrical contact section. A raised piece at the rear of the contact section is provided with a locking section which faces approximately at right angles with the direction of arrangement.

    摘要: A gas sensor including a gas sensor element, and an inner member surrounding the gas sensor element. The gas sensor element has a detection element having therein a space to which a gas to be measured is introduced, and a heater laminated on the detection element. The detection element includes a first oxygen pumping cell for pumping oxygen into or out of the space, an oxygen concentration detection cell, a detection electrode and a reference electrode. In side faces of the detection element along a laminating direction, a region from a front end of the inner member to a part of the detection electrode along a longitudinal direction is covered with a glass coat having a glass transition point of over 700° C. Further the detection electrode is controlled at a temperature range from 600° C. or more to not more than the glass transition point of the glass coat.
