摘要: A climate control system for a vehicle includes an air conditioner positioned in a rear of the vehicle. A roof panel includes a moonroof opening bounded on at least one side by a moonroof rail. The moonroof rail generally defines an air supply duct between a headliner and the roof panel. The air supply duct is in communication with the air conditioner. A plurality of vents are operably connected to the moonroof rail and relay conditioned air from the air supply duct to an interior of the vehicle.

摘要: A climate control duct architecture having articulated and controlled interior surfaces to deliver variable and controllable airflow to target zones in the vehicle upon demand. By creating zone climates within the vehicle and providing conditioned airflow to only desired vehicle seating positions, the volume of necessary airflow is minimized, the need for cooling is reduced, and flexibility of the system is created. The interior surface may be mechanically or electrically controlled and may be situated in the common central “octopus” duct.

摘要: A comfort system is provided for a motor vehicle. A seat occupancy sensor determines whether a third row zone is occupied. At least one flow controller is provided in the floor duct for controllably supplying the conditioned airflow to at least the third row outlet. If the third row zone is occupied, then a second row outlet and the third row outlet are turned on to supply a conditioned airflow to a front seat zone, a second row zone, and the third row zone. If the third row zone is not occupied, then the third row outlet is closed off. If the second row zone is not occupied, then the second and third row outlets are closed off. If occupied, then the second row outlet is turned on until a desired comfort level is achieved in the second row zone.

摘要: An air duct for an automotive vehicle is blow molded with an elongated, hollow structural member to be used as a portion of a body of the vehicle. The structural member has an inner wall defining an elongated cavity communicating with first and second access holes at respective longitudinal positions along the structural member. A parison comprised of a thermally insulating material is inserted into the internal cavity. A source of inflation gas is connected to a mouth portion or the parison. The parison is heated and inflated within the internal cavity to an expanded shape to form the air duct disposed against the inner wall and spanning the first and second access holes. The air duct at one of the access holes is configured as an air inlet. The air duct at the other one of the access holes is configured as an air outlet.

摘要: A drug delivery and diagnostic system can include an orthopedic implant having an outer attachment surface. A conduit can be coupled to the outer attachment surface. The conduit can have an inlet and a plurality of perforations formed along a length thereof. The conduit can be adapted to pass fluid between the inlet and the perforations. A subcutaneous port can be fluidly coupled to the inlet and be adapted to communicate fluid through the inlet, along the conduit and out of the perforations around and along the outer attachment surface of the orthopedic implant.

Also provided is a composition for the prevention of respiratory infection including an agent which regulates ICAM expression. method of preventing RSV infection by administering an effective amount of an agent that interferes with the binding of RSV to ICAM-1. A method of preventing RSV infection by administering an effective amount of an agent that down regulates the expression of ICAM-1, thereby decreasing RSV binding to ICAM-1 is also provided. There is provided a method of treating RSV infection by administering an effective amount of an agent for down regulating ICAM-1 expression. A method of blocking RSV-ICAM-1 interaction by administering an effective amount of agents for blocking ICAM sites of binding is provided. Also provided is a compound for blocking RSV-ICAM-1 interaction including an agent for blocking ICAM sites of binding.
