    摘要: Lubricating oil supply holes are drilled into a first member that is fitted to a plurality of first annular plates by a spline. Of splines to which each lubricating oil supply hole corresponds, lubricating oil grooves provided in the plurality of first annular plates do not overlap the splines on at least one of the front and rear surfaces of the first annular plates, and therefore lubricating oil flowing out of the lubricating oil supply holes is dispersed in a circumferential direction and flows from the inner periphery to the outer periphery of the first annular plates, rather than gathering in each lubricating oil groove and flowing in an outer peripheral direction. As a result, a force generated by an axial lubricating oil flow, which acts in a direction for causing the second annular plates to contact friction materials on the first annular plates, is suppressed, leading to a reduction in drag torque.

    摘要: A multi-speed automatic transmission improves transmission efficiency by reducing drag loss due to high speed rotation of a freely rotating element of a planetary gear set. An automatic transmission for a vehicle includes: an input path T1 of a first speed ratio; an input path T2 which has a larger speed ratio than this input path T1; a planetary gear set of four elements, wherein the four elements are a first element, a second element, a third element, and a fourth element following an order of elements on a speed diagram; a clutch C-2 transmitting a rotation of the input path T2 to the first element S3; a clutch C-1 transmitting the rotation from the input path T2 to the fourth element S2; a clutch C-4 transmitting a rotation from the input path T1 to the first element; a clutch C-3 transmitting the rotation from the input path T1 to the second element C3; a brake B-1 engaging the fourth element; a brake B-2 engaging the second element; and an output member coupled with the third element R3. Accordingly, drag resistance is prevented from increasing because no extremely high speed rotation of the freely rotating element is generated, even when a speed is achieved using any combination of the engagement elements.

    摘要: In a multiple speed-change operation for switching between an up-shift operation and a down-shift operation, engine torque control is adapted to an actual change in speed-change state, whereby an abrupt change in rotational speed of the input shaft is prevented. One embodiment relates to a speed-change operation from the second speed to the third speed, wherein the engagement-side hydraulic pressure B4 rises and the release-side hydraulic pressure B5 drops, the rotational speed NT of the input shaft changes from a second speed state toward a third speed state and the engine torque TE is reduced by a predetermined amount TCU. If a command to perform a speed-change operation from the third speed to the second speed is issued during the aforementioned speed-change operation from the second speed to the third speed, control of the hydraulic pressures is switched to the speed-change operation from the third speed to the second speed. If it is detected because of the hydraulic pressure control that the direction of the change &ohgr; in rotational speed of the input shaft has changed toward the second speed, it is determined that the speed-change operation has actually started.
