摘要: A solenoid device includes two electromagnetic coils, two stationary cores, two plungers and a yoke that surrounds the two electromagnetic coils. When a first electromagnetic coil is energized, magnetic flux flows through a first magnetic circuit that includes the first stationary core. When the two electromagnetic coils are energized, magnetic flux of the first electromagnetic coil flows through the first magnetic circuit, and magnetic flux of the second electromagnetic coil flows through a second magnetic circuit that includes a second stationary core. When energization of the first electromagnetic coil is stopped while maintaining energization of the second electromagnetic coil, the magnetic flux of the second electromagnetic coil continues to flow through the second magnetic circuit and a third magnetic circuit that includes the two stationary cores. A magnetism limiting portion is disposed in a portion of the second magnetic circuit that does not overlap the third magnetic circuit.

摘要: A relay apparatus incorporates at least first and second relays having respective first and second electromagnetic coils, with a single yoke partially surrounding each of the coils. When current is passed through only the first electromagnetic coil, to activate the first relay, resultant magnetic flux acting on the armature of the second relay is attenuated by passing a current through the second electromagnetic coil to produce opposing-direction magnetic flux. When current is passed in the opposite direction through the second coil, to activate the second relay, the magnetic fluxes produced by the first and second electromagnetic coils become mutually reinforced, thereby reducing the power consumption required to activate both of the relays and to maintain that activated state.

摘要: A relay system is provided which is designed to avoid flow of inrush current through a capacitor in a pre-charge mode wherein the capacitor is pre-charged. The relay system includes a pair of power lines, a capacitor, a series-connected assembly, a control circuit, and a relay module. The relay module includes two main switches, a main coil, and a sub-coil. In the pre-charge mode, the control circuit energizes both the main and sub-coils to turn on only one of the main switches. Before entering the pre-charge mode, the control circuit diagnoses the sub-coil. When the sub-coil is determined as being malfunctioning, the control circuit inhibits the pre-charge mode from being entered.

摘要: In a main magnetic circuit, first pulling force generated based on a first component of the magnetic flux flowing through the main magnetic path pulls a movable core in a reciprocation direction of the movable core. The first pulling force increases with a reduction of a dimension of the gap. In an auxiliary magnetic circuit, second pulling force generated based on the second component of the magnetic flux flowing through the auxiliary magnetic path pulls the movable core in the reciprocation direction of the movable core. In the auxiliary magnetic circuit, the second pulling force with the dimension of the gap being within a first range is changed to be higher than the second pulling force with the dimension of the gap being within a second range, the second range being smaller than the first range.

摘要: A stationary core is in an exciting coil. A yoke covers an outer periphery and an axial end of the exciting coil to form a magnetic circuit and has an opening portion. The movable core faces the stationary core through the opening portion and is attracted toward the stationary core on energization of the exciting coil. A return spring urges the movable core against the attraction direction. A first gap is formed between the stationary core and the movable core on deenergization of the exciting coil. A second gap is formed between the yoke and the movable core on deenergization of the exciting coil. The second gap allows the yoke and the movable core to generate an attractive force therebetween on energization of the exciting coil. The return spring is made of a magnetic material to magnetically bridge the first gap or the second gap.

摘要: A first fin is formed on a first inside wall surface to protrude therefrom. The first fin exchanges heat between fluid and the first inside wall surface. A first fluid passage is divided between a first region that is a space where the first fin is arranged, and a second region that is a space where the first fin is not arranged. Fluid flows from the second region into the first region. The first fin includes an inflow port through which fluid flows into the first region, and an outflow port through which fluid flows out of the first region. The first fin is formed to extend from the inflow port to the outflow port. An area of the inflow port is larger than a cross-sectional area of the first fluid passage when viewed in a flow direction of fluid.

摘要: A battery pack includes a housing accommodating a plurality of batteries and a blower. A control unit manages the temperature of the batteries according to the battery temperature provided by a temperature detector. When the battery temperature becomes equal to or higher than a predetermined cooling required temperature, the control unit executes a cooling mode of operating the blower to cool the batteries. The control unit executes a temperature equalizing mode of operating the blower to equalize the temperature inside the housing by causing the fluid flowing through the circulation path even when the battery temperature is lower than the cooling required temperature and the cooling is unnecessary.

A circulation passage provided in the housing includes: a first fluid passage between the battery assembly and a side wall of the housing; a battery passage between the batteries; and a second fluid passage downstream of the battery passage and extending toward the fluid drive member. The second fluid passage is surrounded by at least the beams, the bottom wall, and a lower end of the battery assembly.
