摘要: The present invention provides a non-aqueous electrolyte secondary battery with various improved battery characteristics and a method for manufacturing such a non-aqueous electrolyte secondary battery. In the present invention, the battery manufacturing method includes accommodating and sealing a flat battery element (4) in which a positive electrode plate (41) and a negative electrode plate (42) stacked together via a separator (43), together with a non-aqueous electrolyte including a surplus electrolyte and at least one kind of electrolyte additive, in a laminate film exterior member (5), and then, subjecting the thus-assembled battery (1) to charging operation including at least initial charging in a state where a pressure is applied to a flat surface of the battery element from the outside of the exterior member (5).

摘要: A non-aqueous electrolyte secondary battery can efficiently discharge the gas generated to the outside of the electrode and exhibits a low decrease in battery capacity even when used for a long period of time in the case of using an aqueous binder as the binder of a negative electrode active material. The non-aqueous electrolyte secondary battery has a positive electrode active material layer is formed on a surface of a positive electrode current collector, a negative electrode active material layer is formed on a surface of a negative electrode current collector, and a separator, wherein the density of the negative electrode active material layer is from 1.3 to 1.6 g/cm3, the negative electrode active material layer contains an aqueous binder, and the surface center line average roughness (Ra) of a surface on a separator side of the negative electrode active material layer is from 0.5 to 1.0 μm.

摘要: A non-aqueous electrolyte secondary battery, when using an aqueous binder as a binder for a negative electrode active material, effectively exhausts the gas generated from an electrode, and thus, even when using it for a long period of time, a decrease in battery capacity is low. The non-aqueous electrolyte secondary battery includes a positive electrode active material layer on a surface of a positive electrode current collector, a negative electrode active material layer comprising an aqueous binder on a surface of a negative electrode current collector, a separator for maintaining an electrolytic solution, and a gas releasing means for releasing a gas generated within the power generating element to an extra space inside of the outer casing, and in which the ratio value of a volume of the extra space to a volume of pores included in the power generating element is 0.5 to 1.0.

摘要: A non-aqueous electrolyte secondary battery allows gas generated when an aqueous binder is used as a binder of a negative electrode active material to be effectively discharged from the electrode, and has small decrease of the battery capacity despite use over a long period of time. The non-aqueous electrolyte secondary battery has a positive electrode active material layer, a negative electrode active material layer, and a separator. The density of the negative electrode active material layer is 1.4 to 1.6 g/cm3, an electrolyte solution layer is disposed between at least one layer of the negative electrode active material layer and the positive electrode active material layer, and the separator, and the ratio of total thickness of the positive electrode, the negative electrode and the separator to total thickness of the positive electrode, the negative electrode, the separator and the electrolyte solution layer, is 0.85 or more and less than 1.0.

摘要: A separator with a heat resistant insulation layer includes a porous substrate layer and a heat resistant insulation layer formed on one surface or both surfaces of the porous substrate layer and containing inorganic particles and a binder. The ratio of tensile strength in MD direction×fracture strain in MD direction to the tensile strength in TD direction×fracture strain in RD direction is in a range from 0.3 to 20. A ratio of the unit mass of the heat resistant insulation layer to the unit mass of the porous substrate layer is in a range from 0.5 to 2.5. Accordingly, the separator with a heat resistant insulation layer can have improved resistance to an internal short-circuit (shorting resistance).

The heat-resistant particles contain alumina and a parameter X is 0.018 to 0.336. Parameter X is represented by X=Ca×Rzjis/D, wherein Cα is a ratio of the alumina, which occupies the heat-resistant particles, Rzjis is surface roughness of a surface of the heat-resistant insulation layer, the surface being opposite the resin porous substrate, and D is a thickness of the heat-resistant insulation layer.

The non-aqueous electrolyte secondary battery has a power generating element having a positive electrode active material layer on a surface of a positive electrode current collector, a negative electrode active material layer containing an aqueous binder on a surface of a negative electrode current collector, and a separator, and Tc/Ta is in the range of 0.6 to 1.3 when Tc is the soak-in time of the electrolyte liquid into the positive electrode active material layer and Ta is the soak-in time of the electrolyte liquid into the negative electrode active material layer.

摘要: A secondary battery suppresses generation of wrinkle at the outer peripheral edge portion of a negative electrode plate due to expansion of a negative electrode active material layer with use. The secondary battery includes a positive electrode plate with a positive electrode active material layer disposed on a first current collector, and a negative electrode plate with a negative electrode active material layer having an area larger than an area of the positive electrode active material layer disposed on a second current collector. The negative electrode plate includes a facing portion facing the positive electrode active material layer and a non-facing portion. The negative electrode plate and a separator are bonded through a bonding layer. The bonding strength of a second bonding portion that bonds the non-facing portion to the separator is larger than the bonding strength of a first bonding portion that bonds the facing portion to the separator.
