The process is typically carried out in a polymer melt mixer such as an extruder, and usually a reproducible decrease in the polymer melt viscosity is obtained. The resulting polyesters are useful for making films and moldings.

    摘要: A cylinder block has a number of cylinder bores and a water jacket at least partially surrounding the bores. When casting a cylinder block the water jacket is formed by a slender wall of a sand core. To enable the wall to be removed from the core box the wall must taper over its entire height. Prior art water jackets therefore taper from a minimum sand core wall width at the base to a large width at the top. The cylinder block of the invention has a water jacket which, when viewed in transverse section, is wider in an intermediate portion than at either its top or base. In providing a water jacket which is narrower at the top, there is more room for the addition of machined features on the top deck. Furthermore, a water jacket which is narrower at the base can have a greater depth than conventional water jackets.

The transformation is chosen so that the images of the location coordinates (x'.sub.n,1,y'.sub.n,1, z'.sub.n,1) for n=1, . . . , M under T(G2;G1) are as close as possible to the corresponding location coordinates (x'.sub.m,2,y'.sub.m,2, z'.sub.m,2) for m=1, . . . , M. Given an ellipsoid and a selected survey plane .tau.0 that is tangent to the ellipsoid at a selected location, a set of selected locations can be surveyed with reference to the ellipsoid, and the location coordinates of each such surveyed location can be mapped into a corresponding "survey location," defined by reference to a local coordinate system that uses the survey plane .tau.0 as its base. These transformations and projections are determined and optimized in real time, while a surveyor is measuring the presently-surveyed locations in the field. The instruments used for surveying may be part of a location determination system, such as a Global Positioning System, a Global Orbiting Navigational Satellite System or Loran.

    摘要: A stable trans fat free emulsifier composition is provided that may have other functional ingredients incorporated to form a base for a flour-based dough preparation to hold the ingredients together. A glyceride emulsifier is heated above its melting point and blended with a non-hydrogenated vegetable oil, or a quantity of glyceride emulsifier is blended with non-hydrogenated vegetable oil and the mixture then heated to a temperature above its melting point. The ratio of emulsifier to vegetable oil is selected to cause the composition, upon cooling, to form a solid plastic mass. The hardness value of the plastic mass is within a range especially applicable to bakery dough applications.
