    摘要： Communications system having first, second, and third communications networks, a subscriber device, and a network access device having a network layer address. The network access device permits access by the first communications network to the third communications network and access by the second communications network to the third communications network. There is a communications link between the subscriber device and the third communications network via the first communications network and the network access device, wherein the network layer address is used during the transmission of data via the first communications link. The network access device has a control device that releases the first communications link and sets up a second communications link between the subscriber device and the third communications network via the second communications network and the network access device. The network layer address of the network access device is used during the transmission of data via the second communications link.

    摘要： Technology and techniques to page mobile devices and establish connections between mobile devices and small cell base stations in a heterogeneous network (HetNet.) A macro base station pager may transmit an enhanced paging message, the enhanced paging message to include an indication that the paging message may be answered through a small cell base station. A small cell base station configurator may transmit configuration information to the small cell base station. The small cell base station may transmit a beacon and a mobile device may establish a relay connection with the small cell base station to connect the mobile device to the macro base station through the small cell base station based at least in part upon the beacon. Furthermore, a macro base station backhauler may establish a backhaul connection with the small cell base station to communicate signals with the small cell base station related to the relay connection.
