    Abstract: An imaging device includes a first pixel and a second pixel. The first pixel includes a first photoelectric converter that generates first signal charge by photoelectric conversion and that has sensitivity to a first wavelength range that is invisible and a first signal detection circuit connected to the first photoelectric converter. The second pixel includes a second photoelectric converter that generates second signal charge by photoelectric conversion and that has sensitivity to a second wavelength range and a second signal detection circuit connected to the second photoelectric converter. An exposure period of the second photoelectric converter does not overlap a light-emitting period of light based on lighting, the light being incident on the first photoelectric converter and having a luminescence peak in the first wavelength range. A readout period during which the second signal detection circuit reads out the second signal charge does not overlap the light-emitting period.

    Abstract: An imaging device includes a first pixel. The first pixel has a photoelectric converting portion, a first capacitance element, and a first transistor. The photoelectric converting portion converts incident light into signal charge. The first capacitance element includes a first terminal and a second terminal, the first terminal being electrically connected to the photoelectric converting portion in at least a period of exposure. The first transistor includes a first source and a first drain, one of the first source and the first drain is electrically connected to the second terminal, and a direct-current potential is applied to the other of the first source and the first drain.

    Abstract: An imaging device includes a pixel cell including: a first photoelectric converter that generates a first electrical signal; and a first signal detection circuit that detects the first electrical signal. The first signal detection circuit includes: a first transistor one of a source and a drain of which is electrically connected to the first photoelectric converter; a first capacitor having first and second ends, the first end being electrically connected to the other of the source and the drain of the first transistor, a reference voltage being applied to the second end; and a second transistor having a gate electrically connected to the first photoelectric converter. The pixel cell outputs, in one frame period, a first image signal and a second image signal in sequence, the first image signal being output when the first transistor is off, the second image signal being output when the first transistor is on.

    Abstract: An imaging device comprises at least one unit pixel cell. Each of them comprises: a photoelectric conversion layer having a first and second surfaces; a pixel electrode and a shield electrode located on the first surface and separated from each other, a shield voltage being applied to the shield electrode; an upper electrode located on the second surface and opposing to the pixel electrode and the shield electrode, a counter voltage being applied to the upper electrode; a charge accumulation node electrically connected to the pixel electrode; and a charge detection circuit electrically connected to the charge accumulation node. The charge detection circuit includes a reset transistor that sets the pixel electrode at an initialization voltage at predetermined timing. An absolute value of a difference between the shield voltage and the counter voltage is larger than an absolute value of a difference between the initialization voltage and the counter voltage.

    Abstract: An imaging device including: a photoelectric converter including first and second electrodes and a photoelectric conversion layer therebetween; a voltage supplier; an output circuit for outputting a signal corresponding to the potential of the second electrode; and a detector for detecting the signal level. The change rate of the conversion efficiency of the photoelectric converter with respect to a bias voltage applied between the electrodes when the bias voltage is in a first range is greater than that when the bias voltage is in a second range higher than the first range. The voltage supplier, when the detected level is a first threshold or higher, causes the potential difference between the electrodes to be a first difference, and, when the detected level is lower than a second threshold that is the first threshold or lower, causes the potential difference to be a second difference greater than the first difference.
