    摘要: A reduced or partially reduced nickel-molybdenum catalyst prepared by a process having the steps of 1) reacting nickel carbonate and molybdenum oxide precursors to form nickel molybdate and 2) treating the nickel molybdate under reducing conditions to form the reduced or partially reduced nickel-molybdenum catalyst. There is also a process for making the catalyst. There is also a process for using the catalyst in the hydrogenation of an oxo aldehyde, thereby forming an oxo alcohol of high selectivity. There is also a process for forming an oxo alcohol from the hydroformylation/hydrogenation of an olefinic feedstream. There is also a process for forming an oxo alcohol by contacting formates, dimers, trimers, and organic acids with hydrogen in the presence of a reduced or partially reduced nickel-molybdenum catalyst. The foregoing processes are also useful with a catalyst having the general formula YxZ wherein Y is nickel and/or cobalt and Z is molybdenum and/or tungsten; and wherein x ranges between about 0.25 to about 4.0. There are also reduced or partially reduced catalysts of the general formula NixMo or YxZ wherein x ranges between about 0.25 to about 4.0 and wherein oxide precursors of the catalysts are substantially free of ammonium groups.

    摘要: The present invention is related to a hydrocarbon oxidation process. The process comprises bringing one or more hydrocarbons into contact with a source of oxygen in the presence of a radical initiator and a catalyst. The catalyst comprises an organic metal complex located on a catalyst support, and is obtained by partial decomposition of the organic metal complex. For example, the process can be used to produce dimethyl carbonate from dimethoxy methane. The invention is also related to a partially decomposed catalyst that comprises a silica support and an organic metal complex, wherein at least 5% of the organic compound remains in the catalyst. The organic metal complex comprises an organic compound and a metal-based compound wherein the metal is selected from copper, nickel, and combinations thereof. The invention is also related to a process for manufacturing of a catalyst comprising mixing L-arginine, a Cu-based compound, water, and optionally another metal-based compound to form a solution; impregnating the solution onto a silica support to form a catalyst precursor; and partially decomposing the L-arginine to form the catalyst so that at least 5% of L-arginine remains in the catalyst.

    摘要: The present invention pertains to a sulfur-containing catalyst composition suitable for the hydrotreating of hydro-carbon feeds which comprises a Group VIB metal component selected from molybdenum, tungsten, and mixtures thereof, a Group V metal component selected from vanadium, niobium, tantalum, and mixtures thereof, and a Group VIII metal component selected from nickel, cobalt, iron, and mixtures thereof, the metal components (calculated as oxides) making up at least 50 wt. % of the catalyst, wherein the molar ratio between the metal components satisfies the following formula: (Group VIB+Group V):(Group VIII)=0.5-2:1. This catalyst has been found to show a high activity in sulfur removal in combination with good aromatics removal properties.
