摘要: A portable, self-contained, electronic radioscopic imaging system uses a pulsed X-ray source, a remote X-ray sensor, and a self-contained, display and controller unit to produce, store, and/or display digital radioscopic images of an object under investigation. An X-ray image sensor configured to spatially sense X-ray radiation pulses includes a pixel clock generator, an integrating CCD camera imager operating in a progressive scan mode providing a discrete pixel readout cycle of sensed X-ray radiation pulses, a sample and hold circuit for sampling the discrete pixel readout responsive to the pixel clock, and an analog to digital converter for digitizing each pixel as the discrete pixel readout is sampled. A digital video transmission system controller board controls the X-ray source for acquiring digitized samples from the X-ray image sensor. The digital video transmission system has a buffer memory for storing digitized pixels received from the analog to digital converter, and is further provided with a serial interface driver for transmitting the digitized pixels. An image processor receives the digitized pixels transmitted by the serial interface driver of the controller for generating a radioscopic image from the digitized pixels.

摘要: A packer apparatus for the internal sealing of pipe leaks having a cylindrical structure and a single sleeve located on the exterior of the cylinder. The single sleeve has a pair of inflatable chambers connected together in spaced relationship to each other and air hoses connect through the cylinder to each of the inflatable chambers for inflating and deflating the chambers remotely with air pressure. Chemical lines are connected through the cylinder and through the sleeve between the inflatable chambers. The cylindrical structure is made of two or more segments and is collapsible for reducing the size of the packer. The single sleeve is made of rubber reinforced with tire chord and is held to the cylinder only by the connections with the chemical and air lines.

摘要: A Freeman type electron bombardment ion source includes dual filament electrodes positioned in an arc chamber having a slit for extraction of an ion beam. The filament electrodes are symmetrically positioned with respect to the extraction slit. The filament electrode currents are equal in magnitude and oppositely directed. As a result, lateral magnetic fields in the region of the extraction slit are substantially eliminated.

摘要: A bi-directional databusing system is used in a computer that superposes vector and scalar operations. The computer consists of a main memory, a plurality of pipelined functional units, and a buffer for staging scalar and vector data objects between the main memory and the functional units. The busing system supports two-way data transfer during each of a succession of bus transfer cycles in which data is transferred to the buffer during one phase of a cycle, and from the buffer during a second cycle phase. The busing system includes three sets of bi-directional memory databuses, one for transferring scalar data objects between the main memory and buffer unit, and the other two for transferring vector data objects between the main memory and the buffer. The bus system also includes a set of bi-directional function buses, each for transferring scalar and vector data objects between the buffer and the functional units, with the ratio of the number of data objects transferred to the functional units during a transfer cycle to the number of data objects transferred to the buffer during the same cycle corresponding to a predetermined parametric value.
