摘要: A reinforcement element, for the body of an automobile, consists of an elongated tensile elastic part comprising a cable, which is arranged in a hollow section attached to the body of the automobile. The cable extends through the hollow section and is attached by its ends independently of the hollow section to an attachment point on a part of the body. An impact against the body part causes the hollow section to contact and rest against the cable, such that the cable impedes further displacement of the hollow section with respect to the body. The cable may be a compound cable, each element having different routing, lengths, thicknesses, and/or construction. The mounting includes a tensioning element to prestress the cable, and may include a passive or active damping element.

摘要: An impact support for reinforcing a door of a motor vehicle, including a hollow profile part that is fastenable in the vehicle door. The hollow profile part having, at least in a central region thereof, a portion with a roughly oval cross section having a cross-sectional height that is greater than a cross-sectional depth. The hollow profile part is arranged in the motor vehicle door so that the depth lies parallel to an impact direction. The roughly oval cross section is formed by two straight sides which lie parallel at a distance from one another and are connected at their ends by a convex portion that has a radius that is always greater than half the distance between the two straight sides.

摘要: A process for producing ceramic, ceramic-metal or metal catalyst supports or catalysts with open, interconnecting pores. The process forming a dense agglomeration of spherical, cylindrical or similar bodies of generally uniform size. These bodies are connected together at their mutual contact points, thereby producing a framework corresponding generally to the macropores and pore interconnections of the finished material in terms of size and arrangement. The framework is then filled with a suspension containing as solid components the catalyst support material and/or the catalyst material. The suspension can also contain a binding agent. The framework is subsequently dissolved away after at least the partial hardening of the cast mass without destroying the structure produced during hardening.

摘要: A method of evening a sliver produced by a carding machine in which a predetermined output rate and draft are set. The method includes the steps of determining the actual weight of a predetermined sliver length by weighing; determining the difference between the actual sliver weight and a desired sliver weight; as a function of the difference altering the draft corresponding to a predetermined sliver thickness; measuring momentary actual thicknesses of the running sliver at a card output for a determined time period or sliver length and generating mechanical signals representing the momentary actual sliver thicknesses; converting the mechanical signals to first electric signals; combining the first electric signals into a second electric signal constituting an average of the first electric signals and representing the actual sliver thickness of the measured sliver; storing the second electric signal; applying the second electric signal to a computer; applying to the computer a third electric signal representing the actual sliver weight; and determining, with the computer and from a function between the actual sliver weight and the actual sliver thickness, a desired sliver thickness corresponding to a desired sliver weight.

摘要: The present invention relates to an arrangement for the discrete-time adaptive on-off switching control of a continuous-time process with a binary switching actuator, which uses for the determination of the on-off actuating signal a prediction of a process output sequence over several future sampling intervals as reaction to a possible process input sequence that is applied to a discrete-time linear process model and which estimates and updates in every sampling interval the parameters of the process model by means of a parameter estimation device in order to adapt them to the process to be controlled, even when the process behavior changes, and which has a device for the input and change of the setpoint, the limits of the process output and the sampling time as well as a measuring device for the periodical measurement of the process input. The arrangement further comprises two alternatively working control devices one of which is active in the stationary phase and the other of which is active in the start-up phase of the process or after setpoint changes, and a switching device which activates one or the other said control device in dependence of the result of the measurement of the process output and of input current setpoint, wherein the actuator is served by the active control device.
