Abstract: An aqueous binder composition for a secondary battery electrode containing a silane coupling agent without ethylenically unsaturated bonds, a resin which is a polymer of at least one kind of ethylenically unsaturated monomers, a resin which is a polymer of at least one kind of ethylenically unsaturated monomer, and at least one kind of solvent selected from water and a hydrophilic solvent. The amount of silane coupling agent is from 0.5 to 9 parts by mass based on 100 parts by mass of ethylenically unsaturated monomer. The pH of the composition is 2.5 to 8.0. Also disclosed is a binder obtained by curing the aqueous binder composition, a slurry containing the aqueous binder composition and an active material, a secondary battery electrode obtained by curing the slurry, and a secondary battery including the secondary battery electrode.

Abstract: As an adhesive for the lamination of metal foil and a resin film, an adhesive that can stably exhibit good adhesiveness and moreover can provide a laminate having better electrolytic solution resistance and heat resistance is provided. An adhesive comprising a polyolefin resin (A) having a carboxyl group; and polyisocyanate compounds (B), wherein the polyisocyanate compounds (B) comprise a polymer of a saturated aliphatic polyisocyanate (B1), a polymer of a saturated alicyclic polyisocyanate (B2), and a polymer of an aromatic polyisocyanate (B3).

Abstract: An adhesive for laminating a metal foil to a resin film, the adhesive including: a polyol (A); a multimer of a polyisocyanate (B); and a metal compound (C) being a compound of at least one metal of Groups 7 and 12, wherein the multimer of a polyisocyanate (B) contains a multimer of a saturated aliphatic polyisocyanate and a multimer of a saturated alicyclic polyisocyanate. Also disclosed is a laminate having a metal foil and a resin film laminated through an adhesive layer obtained from the adhesive for laminating of the invention. Yet further disclosed is a packaging material for a battery casing obtained by using the laminate. Yet further disclosed is a battery case obtained by using the packaging material for a battery casing. Also disclosed is a method for producing a battery case which includes deep drawing or bulging the packaging material for a battery casing.

Abstract: A copolymer for binders, which is capable of reducing the internal resistance of a battery, while ensuring sufficient binding properties between active materials and between an active material and a collector in a nonaqueous battery electrode; a composition for binders; a slurry for nonaqueous battery electrodes; a nonaqueous battery electrode; and a nonaqueous battery. This copolymer for binders is a copolymer for binders (P) of a monomer mixture (M) that contains at least a monomer (A) represented by general formula (1) and a (meth)acrylate salt monomer (B); and an amount of structure derived from the monomer (A) based on the copolymer for binders (P) is set to 0.5 to 20.0% by mass. (In the formula, each of R1 and R2 independently represents a hydrogen atom or an alkyl group having 1 to 5 carbon atoms.)

Abstract: The present invention provides an adhesive for laminating a metal foil and a resin film, including: (A) 1% to 20% by mass of polyurethane which has at least one functional group selected from the group consisting of a hydroxy group, an acryloyl group, and a carboxy group; (B) 30% to 90% by mass of a monomer which does not has an active hydrogen and has two or more ethylenically unsaturated bonds; (C) 1% to 55% by mass of an aliphatic monomer which has one ethylenically unsaturated bond; (D) 1% to 15% by mass of a polyisocyanate compound; and (E) 0.5% to 5% by mass of a photoinitiator. The (B) has a cyclic structure, and the (C) has a linear hydrocarbon group, a branched hydrocarbon group, or a cycloalkyl group.
