摘要: In the cooling operation, it is determined whether supplied electric current (IDC) supplied to an electric motor for driving a compressor is less than a predetermined value or not, that is, whether consumed electric power of the electric motor is less than a predetermined value or not. In the cool-down control, the determination may be "NO", however, in this case an inverter is controlled so that the IDC is set to the predetermined value. Thus, in the present invention, since IDC is always the predetermined value a1 or less and the consumed electric power of the electric motor is always the predetermined value or less, coefficiency of performance (COP) of the refrigerating cycle can be maintained to a predetermined magnitude.

摘要: In an electrical compressor having a motor and an electrical circuit integrated with a compression portion, a part of electrical components of the electrical circuit is disposed in spaces between a cylindrical outer surface of a motor housing and an imaginary flat surface that imaginarily contacts the cylindrical outer surface. Therefore, the spaces can be used effectively, and the electrical compressor can be downsized. Further, the part of the electrical components can be effectively cooled by refrigerant in the motor housing. On the other hand, the outer surface of the motor housing is used as one surface defining an inner space of a casing for accommodating the electrical circuit. In this case, the electrical circuit can be effectively cooled by refrigerant in the motor housing.

摘要: An air conditioning system that can operate an air conditioner of an electric vehicle without interfering with the charging process, which utilizes a secondary battery. When operation of the vehicle is terminated and the control system determines that a frosting judgment decision is positive, the control system judges whether the charging current has dropped to a specified level or less. As soon as the charging current has dropped to or below the specified level, the excess charging current may be used for a defrosting operation. When the operation of the vehicle is stopped and the control system determines that a frosting judgment decision is negative, the control system judges whether a preliminary air conditioning switch is on. If the preliminary air conditioning switch is on, it is judged whether charging of the secondary battery is in progress. If charging is progressing, the control system determines whether the charging current has dropped to or below a specified level. As soon as the charging current has dropped to or below this specified level, preliminary air conditioning is performed to cool or warm the cabin of the vehicle during charging of the secondary battery.

摘要: A vehicle air-conditioning system limits electric power used by an electric motor for a compressor in a prescribed fashion that quickly removes fog from the windows when a defroster mode is selected. When the defroster mode is selected, the limit on the electric power used by the electric motor is lifted, and the number of revolutions of the compressor is set to a high level to raise the dehumidifying and cooling capability to quickly remove moisture from the windows.

摘要: A steering angle indicating system for a vehicle includes a plurality of rotational angle sensors arranged within a steering wheel of the vehicle, each thereof producing an electric signal indicative of a turn angle of the steering wheel, an indicating unit responsive to the turn angle signals from the rotational angle sensors to compute the turn direction and the turn angle of the steering wheel and to indicate a result of the computation, and a power supply circuit supplied with electric power from a load side of a horn switch prearranged within the steering wheel. The system prevents the occurrence of a collision caused by careless starting of the vehicle by the driver.
