The memory can store data exchanged through the interface. The battery state detector can detect at least one of current, voltage and temperature of the block. When the module is connected to the controller, the controller assigns a unique address to the module. The module stores the unique address, which is assigned by the controller, in the memory. Detection signals output from the signal generator are detected by the signal detection circuit to detect failure in the series-connected voltage detection lines.

When the device 10 is controlled, if an average cumulative sliding rate of the plate 13 is outside a control range, a sliding rate of the plate 13 is changed within a preset range, thereby automatically optimizing the sliding conditions of the device 10 even with an operational condition change. Also, 3% to 20% of average sliding rate can reduce the corrosion rate of the plate 13 and drastically increase the life of the plate 13.
