    摘要: Disclosed is a process for the preparation of a catalyst for the synthesis of methyl formate by dehydrogenating methanol in the gaseous phase, said process being characterized in that (A) at least one phosphate selected from the group consisting of copper phosphates, zinc phosphates and aluminum phosphates, and (B) at least one chloride selected from the group consisting of copper chlorides, zinc chloride, aluminum chloride, alkali metal chlorides and alkaline earth metal chlorides and/or (C) at least one compound selected from the group consisting of alkali metal compounds (exclusive of halides) and alkaline earth metal compounds (exclusive of halides) are added to copper oxide, zinc oxide and aluminum oxide.The catalyst obtained according to this process has a high activity for preparing methyl formate by dehydrogenating methanol in the gaseous phase, and this catalyst is excellent in the heat resistance and durability and has a high mechanical strength.

    摘要: The invention provides a display method for displaying an image by deposition of metal fine particles. The display method includes at least depositing metal fine particles, from an electrolytic solution that has at least a metal ion of the metal particles and that is provided between a pair of substrates having at least one translucent substrate, onto a surface of any one of the pair of substrates by imparting one stimulus. A concentration of the metal ion of the metal fine particles in the electrolytic solution after imparting the stimulus is about 200 mmol/l or less. The invention further provides a display device which uses the display method.

Each of the at least two kinds of the charged mobile fine particles respectively has different coloration and a different mobility, and the charged mobile fine particles of at least one kind of the at least two kinds show coloration when in a dispersed state. The invention further provides a display device having an electric field forming unit and the dimmer layer. The invention further provides a display method which uses the display medium and includes putting the charged mobile fine particles of at least one of the kinds being dispersed while having other charged mobile fine particles not being dispersed.

    摘要: In a method for manufacturing a rotor hub for use in a spindle motor, free-cutting stainless steel is used as a material of the rotor hub. A slug of free-cutting stainless steel is subjected to a plastic working to form a disk mounting portion and a cylindrical surface positioned radially inwardly of the disk mounting portion. Then, a cylindrical disk fitting surface is formed by machining substantially the entirety of the cylindrical surface. The rotor hub contains A-type inclusions appearing in a cross section taken along a center axis of the disk mounting portion. The A-type inclusions are oriented in directions different than the center axis.
