摘要: A disk recording-reproducing device having a carriage with a read/write head, a screw shaft to shift the carriage with an engaging element through coupling between a spiral groove of the screw shaft and the engaging element, and a stepping motor to rotate the screw shaft. The spiral groove is composed of a number of groove portions each with a straight bottom whose angle of lead is substantially zero degree that are displaced successively, circumferentially and axially. Preferably, the screw shaft has plane portions for its positioning, and a rotor of the stepping motor has magnetization points being set correspondingly to the lines of the groove portions.

摘要: Disclosed is a device which is mounted on a vehicle, and captures a rear region of a vehicle and a blind spot region outside of a viewing range of a side mirror adjacent to the rear region of the vehicle. A captured image is subjected to image processing so that the blind spot region on the captured image is compressed. The image after subjected to the image processing is displayed so as to be visible to a driver. The blind spot region on the captured image is compressed so that a sudden change of position of a object in a horizontal direction on the captured image is suppressed, as against a change of distance from the vehicle to the object. Compression is performed so that the ratio of transition of position of the object in the horizontal direction on the captured image to transition of distance from the vehicle to the object is substantially the same as the ratio of transition of position of the object in the horizontal direction in the side mirror to transition of distance from the vehicle to the object. The phenomenon of the object's appearance as if the object suddenly accelerates in the vicinity of the vehicle is avoided.

摘要: A blood pressure measurement device includes a finger cuff for measuring a blood oxygen saturation level of a subject as physiological information excluding a blood pressure, a pulse wave detecting portion, and an oxygen saturation level calculating portion, where a start of blood pressure measurement in a sphygmomanometer is determined by a comparing and determining portion when a value becomes greater than or equal to a reference value. After the end of the measurement, a time limit for limiting the start of the blood pressure measurement is set. The comparing and determining portion determines not to start the blood pressure measurement within the time limit even if the blood oxygen saturation level becomes greater than or equal to the reference value.
