    摘要: The present invention aims to provide an electronic component capable of reducing the occurrence of cracks at the joining portion with a board etc. A capacitor 1 (laminated ceramic capacitor) being one example of the electronic component of the present invention is provided with an element assembly 10 (ceramic) and a pair of external electrodes 20 formed on both side surfaces of the element assembly. In the element assembly 10, a dielectric layer 12 and an internal electrode 14 are laminated alternately. The external electrode 14 has such constitution that a first electrode layer connected with the internal electrode 14, a second electrode layer (electroconductive resin layer) including a hardened product of epoxy resin containing an epoxy compound having a molecular weight of 2000 or more and plural epoxy groups as the base compound, a third electrode layer composed of Ni and a fourth electrode layer composed of Sn are formed in this order from the element assembly side.

    摘要: In a magnetron sputtering apparatus an arrangement is made such that the peripheral portion of a target is uniformly eroded to attain a high efficiency in target utilization and, in addition, that an abnormal discharging hardly occurs to thereby enable satisfactory thin film forming. A magnet assembly is provided behind a target that is disposed opposite to the process substrate. This magnet assembly has a central magnet that is disposed linearly along the longitudinal direction, and a peripheral magnet that is disposed so as to enclose the periphery of the central magnet, while changing the polarity on the side of the target. At this time, among the respective magnetic fluxes generated between the central magnet and the peripheral magnet at the longitudinally end portions of the magnet assembly, the position at which the vertical component of the magnetic field becomes zero is locally shifted to the central magnet within a certain range.

    摘要: A plasma display includes first and second substrates provided opposing one another. A plurality of first electrodes is formed on a surface of the first substrate facing the second substrate. A first dielectric layer is formed covering the first electrodes. A plurality of main barrier ribs is formed on a surface of the second substrate facing the first substrate, the main barrier ribs defining a plurality of discharge cells. A plurality of electrode barrier ribs is formed on the second substrate between the main barrier ribs. Phosphor layers are formed within the discharge cells, and discharge gas included in the discharge cells, where the main barrier ribs are formed integrally to the second substrate, and a second electrode and a second dielectric layer are formed, in this order, on a distal end of each of the electrode barrier ribs. A method of manufacturing the plasma display includes the processes of integrally forming a plurality of main barrier ribs on a plasma display substrate, the main barrier ribs defining a plurality of discharge cells, forming electrode barrier ribs between the main barrier ribs, forming an electrode on a distal end of each of the electrode barrier ribs, and forming a dielectric layer on each of the electrodes.
