    摘要: An automatic transmission includes a first planetary gear set; a second planetary gear set; a third planetary gear set; an input shaft; an output shaft; and five friction elements. A first ring gear is constantly locked. A third carrier is connected with a second ring gear to define a rotating member. The input shaft is constantly connected with a second carrier, and the output shaft is constantly connected with the rotating member. The five friction elements are adapted to selectively connect among the carriers, ring gears and sun gears. Each of at least seven forward speed-ratios and one reverse speed-ratio is achieved by an engaged state of two friction elements selected from the five friction elements.

    摘要: An automatic transmission includes a first planetary gear set; a second planetary gear set; a third planetary gear set; an input shaft; an output shaft; and five friction elements. A first ring gear is constantly locked. A third carrier is connected with a second ring gear to define a rotating member. The input shaft is constantly connected with a second carrier, and the output shaft is constantly connected with the rotating member. The five friction elements include a first friction element adapted to selectively connect a first carrier with a third ring gear; a second friction element adapted to selectively connect a first sun gear with the second carrier; a third friction element adapted to selectively connect the first sun gear with a second sun gear; a fourth friction element adapted to selectively connect the first carrier with the second carrier; and a fifth friction element adapted to selectively connect the first carrier with the second sun gear. Each of at least seven forward speed-ratios and one reverse speed-ratio is achieved by an engaged state of two friction elements selected from the five friction elements.

    摘要: An engine torque detection method for a vehicular drive mechanism and a hydraulic control method for the transmission utilizing the torque detection method, the driving mechanism including a driving force transmission apparatus interposed between an internal combustion engine and wheels, having an input shaft connected to the engine an output shaft connected to the wheels, and capable of detecting a transmission torque transmitted from the input-shaft side to the output-shaft side; and a gear transmission system interposed between the driving force transmission apparatus and the wheels, and having a plurality of frictional engagement means for transmission control adapted to be engaged and disengaged in accordance with an operating oil pressure supplied thereto, thereby establishing a required transmission gear ratio. The changing rate of the rotational speed of the engine and the transmission torque of the driving force transmission apparatus are detected, and the detected transmission torque and the product of the detected engine speed changing rate and a predetermined value are added so that the resulting sum is detected as an engine torque. The torque capacity of each the frictional engagment means is controlled in accordance with the detected sum. Thus, the automatic transmission is improved in follow-up performance and stability.

    摘要: A method of controlling the hydraulic pressure for an automatic transmission gear system, in which the actual rotation speed of a rotatable element during a speed shift from, for example, the 1st speed ratio to the 2nd speed ratio is detected, and the hydraulic pressure supplied to a frictional engaging element acting to change the rotation speed of the rotatable element is controlled so that the rate of change of the rotation speed of the rotatable element can converge to a predetermined change rate when the speed change rate due to the speed shift is ideal. On the other basis of the hydraulic pressure supplied to the frictional engaging element in the final state of the speed shift, the initial hydraulic pressure to be supplied to the frictional engaging element immediately after starting of the next speed shift is computed. Such a trial is repeated a plurality of times so that an automatic transmission whose operating hydraulic pressure is not primarily designed to meet the operation of an engine from the aspect of the capacity can be adapted to operate with the engine.

    摘要: A power transmission includes two piston-type actuators for selectively engaging and releasing their associated clutches. Each of the actuators is designed in such a way that in order to compensate a centrifugal hydraulic pressure to be developed in a working fluid chamber by a remaining hydraulic fluid upon release of the clutch, a centrifugal hydraulic pressure chamber is formed on the side opposite to the working fluid chamber relative to a piston and a centrifugal hydraulic pressure equal to the centrifugal hydraulic pressure in the working fluid chamber is produced in the centrifugal hydraulic pressure chamber. A partition forming the centrifugal hydraulic pressure chamber also serves as a cylinder forming the working fluid chamber of the other actuator.

    摘要: In an automatic transmission gear of 4-speed advance type comprising at least 3 pairs of clutches including a friction clutch which hydraulically connects an input shaft and the carrier of Ravigneaux type planet wheel gears for the 4th speed, 2 pairs of brakes and one pair of oneway clutches, it is required to engage two pairs of clutches in order to shift the speed to the 3rd speed while it is necessary to engage another pair of clutches with one pair of brakes for the 4th speed, thereby presenting difficulties in setting transmission timings and an initial engagement torque. The hydraulic control system for an automatic transmission gear according to the present invention is capable of smooth transmission without causing transmission shocks and of improving the durability of clutches and brakes because in the system one pair of clutches is made to engage for the 4th speed in advance after completion of the 3rd speed shifting.

    摘要: Improvement in a hydraulic type automatic transmission including a fluid torque converter and a plurality of friction-engagement devices associated with hydraulic servo devices in which different speed change ratios including a plurality of forward movement steps can be realized by selectively actuating the friction-engagement devices with a hydraulic pressure either automatically or manually. Upon deceleration from a higher speed gear ratio to a predetermined gear ratio, a friction-engagement device for realizing the predetermined gear ratio is quickly engaged without delay, whereas upon acceleration from a lower speed gear ratio or a neutral condition to the predetermined gear ratio, engagement of the friction engagement device is effected slowly by actuating an accumulator and a flow rate limiter and thereby generation of an excessive shock is prevented.

    摘要: An automatic transmission is provided with three planetary gear units and five friction elements that establish at least six forward speeds and one reverse speed by engaging different combinations of three out of five friction elements simultaneously. In the automatic transmission, an output shaft is always connected to a first ring gear of the first planetary gear unit. A second ring gear of the second planetary gear unit is always fixed. A first carrier of the first planetary gear unit and a third ring gear of the third planetary gear unit are connected together to form a first rotating member. A second sun gear of the second planetary gear unit and a third carrier of the third planetary gear unit are connected together to form a second rotating member.
