摘要: A fuel-feeding device may preferably include a reservoir cup disposed in a fuel tank that contains liquid fuel therein, a fuel pump capable of feeding the liquid fuel contained in the reservoir cup to an engine, a pressure regulator capable of controlling a fuel pressure of the liquid fuel fed to the engine from the fuel pump, a jet pump arranged and constructed to receive a part of the pressurized liquid fuel pumped from the fuel pump via a fuel jet path, so as to introduce liquid fuel outside the reservoir cup into to the reservoir cup with the aid of flow of the pressurized liquid fuel, and a flow rate control valve disposed in the fuel jet path. The flow rate control valve is arranged and constructed to control a flow rate of the pressurized liquid fuel fed to the jet pump depending upon a pumping rate of the pressurized liquid fuel pumped from the fuel pump.

摘要: In a liquid pump, n sets of concavities are formed in an outer circumference of an impeller. In a case where an angle between an ith first line and an ith second line is a pitch angle θi and an ith difference of adjacent pitch angles is σi (σi=θi+1−θi) (the i may be any integer of 1 to n), the pitch angles θi may be inhomogeneous. For each of the pitch angles θi, there may be one or more other pitch angle θk (the k maybe any integer of 1 to n and other than i) being equal to the pitch angle θi. Formulas 0.05≦σ′/(average of θ)≦0.30 and 0.15≦C′≦0.35 may be satisfied.

摘要: Fuel pump (10) may comprise a casing (18) and an impeller (20) rotating within the casing. A group of concavities (20a) may be formed in an upper or a lower face of the impeller. A groove (24) communicating a discharge hole (25) may be formed in a inner face of the casing. The groove extends continuously in a direction of rotation of the impeller in an area facing the group of concavities of the impeller. The groove may have an opening portion (27e) that directly communicates with the discharge hole. The opening portion may be shaped so as to extend in the rotation direction of the impeller, within a span extending from a position corresponding to substantially the central position of the concavities of the impeller, in the radial direction thereof, to a position corresponding to substantially the outer peripheral edge of the concavities of the impeller. The inner peripheral edge (29) of the groove, on the side communicating with the discharge hole, may slant in the downstream end from a position corresponding to substantially the inner peripheral edge of the concavities of the impeller towards a position corresponding to substantially the central position of the concavities of the impeller, in the radial direction thereof, to connect with the opening portion. The opening portion may be formed so as to extend in the rotation direction of the impeller beyond the position (29b) where the inner peripheral edge connects therewith.

摘要: Mass-produced fuel pumps having a stable pump efficiency comprising a circumferential groove 20 is formed within a pump body 15 and the groove 20 is divided into a first region having a constant cross-sectional area L, a second region having a cross sectional area that gradually becomes smaller toward the downstream side, and a third region having a constant cross-sectional area M. A suction hole 22 is formed within the pump body 15 and is inclined toward the rotational direction of the impeller. The suction hole 22 is communicated with the groove 20 in the first region. Even if the inclination angle of the suction hole 22 varies among mass-produced fuel pumps, the cross-sectional area L of the groove 20 is constant at the location where the suction hole 22 is communicated with the groove 20. Therefore, variations in the amount of fuel sucked into the fuel pump can be reduced. Accordingly, pump efficiency of the mass-produced fuel pumps can be stabilized.

摘要: A fuel delivery system for delivering fuel from a fuel tank to an engine includes a reservoir disposed within the fuel tank and a fuel pump, such as an electrically driven fuel pump, operable to draw fuel from within the reservoir. The fuel pump has a first port and a second port that independently discharge the fuel from the fuel pump. A first jet pump is operable to draw the fuel within the fuel tank into the reservoir. A first flow path communicates between the first port and the engine. A second flow path communicates between the second port and the first jet pump, so that the fuel within the fuel tank is transferred into the reservoir due to the flow of the fuel supplied to the first jet pump via the second flow path.
