摘要: The present invention relates to an aluminum alloy for a magnetic disk substrate having a composition consisting of, by percent by weight, 2.0 to 6.0% of Mg, 0.05 to 0.15% of Cu, 0.10 to 0.30% of Zn and 0.05 to 0.12% of Zr, wherein the contents of Cu, Zn and Zr satisfy the relationship: 0.15%.ltoreq.2Cu+6Zr-3Zn.ltoreq.0.32% (wherein Cu, Zr, and Zn respectively represent their contents in terms of percent by weight), and the composition further consists of one or both of 0.01 or more to less than 0.05% of Cr and 0.01 or more to less than 0.05% of Mn, impurities consisting of Si, Fe and Ti, which are respectively regulated to be 0.05% or less, 0.05% or less, and 0.02% or less, and other inevitable impurity elements respectively regulated to be 0.02% or less, with the remainder being Al. The present invention also relates to a clad material for a magnetic disk substrate, in which one or both surfaces of a core material, consisting of at least less than 3.0% of Zn with the remainder being Al and inevitable impurity elements, are clad with a surface material consisting of the aluminum alloy having the above composition. The above aluminum alloy composition makes it possible to manufacture a large storage memory capacity magnetic disk in which there is much less formation of micropits or nodules.

摘要: This invention provides a lithium secondary battery which degrades less upon high-rate charge/discharge cycles (thus durable). The lithium secondary battery comprises positive electrode 10 having positive electrode active material layer 14, negative electrode 20 having negative electrode active material layer 24, organic porous material layer 32 placed between positive electrode active material layer 14 and negative electrode active material layer 24, inorganic porous material layer 34 placed between organic porous material layer 32 and negative electrode active material layer 24. Inorganic porous material layer 34 comprises an inorganic filler that does not store lithium at a potential higher than the lithium-storing potential of the negative electrode active material layer, and a Li absorber that irreversibly stores lithium at a potential higher than the lithium-storing potential.

摘要: An image is generated by performing area coverage modulation to express a halftone color according to a gross area of dots displayed in a pixel of the image. The image is generated in such a manner that the halftone color is expressed with a selected one of dither patterns corresponding to respective predetermined densities, each of the densities being determined by the gross area of dots calculated in view of shapes of the dots.

摘要: In a multiprocessor system having a plurality of processors and main memory common to the processors, each processor includes at least one vector calculation unit which is specific to a vector calculation and which is independent of the vector calculation units in the other processors. A register holds a configuration signal representative of configuration of the vector calculation units in each processor. An access control unit controls access operations of the processors on the basis of the configuration signals in the processors to make the processors selectively access the main memory. Thus, the processors individually carry out the vector calculations to individually access the main memory.

摘要: An information processing apparatus includes a latent image generating unit and a background image generating unit. The latent image generating unit generates a latent image using both of a first color component to be printed with a first color material and second color components to be printed with second color materials having an optical property different from an optical property of the first color material, or generates the latent image using only the second color components. The background image generating unit generates a background image, which serves as the background of the latent image, using only the second color components when the latent image generating unit uses both of the first color component and the second color components, or generates the background image using both of the first color component and the second color components when the latent image generating unit uses only the second color components.

摘要: A leak-prohibited image to be subjected to leak prohibition is comprised of dots DT so that two dots are included in an 8×8 matrix at a resolution of 600 dpi. The leak-prohibited image is formed as a computer terminal acquires image data, converts the image data to an image comprised of discrete microdots DT which cannot be resolved by copying, and outputs the converted image. Because the leak-prohibited image cannot be copied even if an image including the leak-prohibited image is copied, copy-originated information leak can be prohibited. Synthesizing a concealment image having a regularly discrete pattern with such a leak-prohibited image makes it difficult to view the leak-prohibited image from other directions than a front, thus prohibiting information leak by peeping.

摘要: A user sends a printing request of a cost estimate to an electronic file management server, applying a user terminal. The electronic file management server that received the printing request, generates printing data of the cost estimate. Next, the electronic file management server allots URL to the generated printing data, and stores the printing data, and URL in a document data storing unit. Then, the electronic file management server generates a two-dimension bar code including the URL, allotted to the printing data, and the data concerning the printing condition, and sends it to the user terminal. Then, a printing apparatus obtains via a bar code reader, the read data of the two-dimension bar code output to a display unit, obtains printing data from the electronic file management server, applying the URL extracted from the two-dimension bar code, and performs printing.

摘要: A device for processing vector data for a memory device into indirect memory input data and an indirect address signal or stride vector input data and a stride address signal depending on whether in an indirect vector processing mode or a stride vector processing mode. The vector processing device comprises a vector data control unit for receiving, when in the indirect mode in response to an indirect register select command, first and second selected data of the vector data from first and second registers. A buffer unit holds the first and the second selected data. As the indirect memory input data and the indirect address signal, an access control unit supplies the memory address and the memory device with the second and the first selected data held in the buffer unit. The same supplying circuitry can supply stride vector data to the memory device when in the stride mode.
