    摘要: A wheel bearing device of the invention includes a flanged shaft member that includes a shaft portion to which a rolling bearing is assembled, a fitting shaft portion that is formed on one end side of the shaft portion and that is fitted to a center hole of a wheel, and a plurality of flange portions that extend radially outward on an outer peripheral surface located between the shaft portion and the fitting shaft portion and each of which has a bolt hole in which a hub bolt for fastening the wheel is arranged. Each flange portion is formed by side extrusion when a forged recess is formed at a center of an end surface of the fitting shaft portion by cold forging.

    摘要: A wheel rolling bearing unit has a hub spindle having flange and shaft-shaped sections, an inner-ring raceway surface on the outer peripheral surface of the shaft-shaped section; an outer ring member disposed around the outer periphery of the shaft-shaped section, an outer-ring raceway surface on the inner peripheral surface thereof; and rolling elements between the inner-ring raceway and outer-ring raceway surfaces. The flange section is on one side of the spindle in a rotation axis direction thereof; on the flange surface, a cylindrical spigot joint section protruding on one side is coaxial with the spindle; the boundary section of the flange surface and the outer peripheral surface of the spigot joint section has an arc-shaped boundary surface to connect smoothly toward the flange surface. The surface roughness of the boundary surface is finer than that of the flange surface and the outer peripheral surface of the spigot joint section.

    摘要: An annular recess is formed in a vehicle inner side of a wheel rolling bearing device. A protective cover is attached to an inner ring disposed in a bottom side of the recess to protect an annular magnetic encoder. A cover body of the protective cover is formed with an annular first disk portion covering the magnetic encoder, a cylindrical portion extending from a radial outer end of the first disk portion and fitted into an inner circumferential wall of the recess, and a second disk portion extending radially outward from an upper end of the cylindrical portion and covering the end portion of the outer ring located around the recess. The cover body is formed with a to-be-separated portion constituted by at least one of half-cut grooves and perforations extending in a radial direction of the cover body. The cover body is formed with lugs which are projected from the second disk portion.

    摘要: An annular recess is formed in a vehicle inner side of a wheel rolling bearing device. A protective cover is attached to an inner ring disposed in a bottom side of the recess to protect an annular magnetic encoder. A cover body of the protective cover is formed with an annular first disk portion covering the magnetic encoder, a cylindrical portion extending from a radial outer end of the first disk portion and fitted into an inner circumferential wall of the recess, and a second disk portion extending radially outward from an upper end of the cylindrical portion and covering the end portion of the outer ring located around the recess. The cover body is formed with a to-be-separated portion constituted by at least one of half-cut grooves and perforations extending in a radial direction of the cover body. The cover body is formed with lugs which are projected from the second disk portion.

    摘要: A fastening structure capable of preventing deterioration in the flatness of a surface of a flange portion (2) when a serration (7) of a bolt (5) is press-fit into the flange portion (2). In this fastening structure, one portion in an axial direction of an outer peripheral surface (6) of the bolt (5) is provided with the serration (7). The bolt (5) is press-fit into a bolthole (3) formed through the flange portion (2) of a mounting member (1). The serration (7) is located apart from respective end surfaces (2A) and (2B) of the flange portion (2) by first and second distances (D, C), and the first and second distances (D, C) each exceed 13% of the thickness (A) of the flange portion (2). With this arrangement, the serration (7) presses a bolthole inner peripheral surface (13) only in the region located far apart from both of the end surfaces (2A and 2B) of the flange portion (2).
