摘要: Provided are an apparatus and method for pre-coding data based on quantized channel state information and channel statistics. In use, channel statistics are collected. Further, one or more reference signals are sent to a wireless device via at least one channel. Thereafter, quantized channel state information is received that corresponds to the at least one channel, where the quantized channel state information is sent by the wireless device based on the one or more reference signals. Data is pre-coded based on the quantized channel state information and the channel statistics. Further, the pre-coded data is transmitted to the wireless device.

摘要: A query processing device includes a communication interface accessing a database and database catalog, a memory storing instructions, and a processor coupled to the memory and the communication interface. The processor executes the instructions to parse a query and generate first and second execution plans for the query, retrieve respective previously determined cardinality values for previously executed logical steps of the first and second execution plans from the database catalog, select an execution plan from the first execution plan or the second execution plan, the selected execution plan having a lower cost based on the previously determined cardinality values, and execute the selected execution plan on data accessed from the database. The query processing system stores actual cardinality values determined during the execution of the logical steps in the database catalog for use by subsequent queries. The query processing device, therefore, re-uses previously determined cardinality values.

摘要: Embodiments are provided herein for determining a synchronizing master for device-to-device (D2D) communication in a cellular network environment. In an embodiment, a user equipment (UE) receives a discovery signal comprising a timing reference, and determines a transmitter of the discovery signal. In accordance with the determination of the transmitter of the discovery signal, the UE performs one of synchronizing to the timing reference in the discovery signal and transmitting a second discovery signal. The UE performs the synchronizing to the timing reference if the transmitter of the discovery is a cellular network. Alternatively, the UE transmits the second discovery signal upon determining that the transmitter of the discovery signal is a second UE that is out of coverage of a cellular network.

摘要: Methods for wireless communications over a wideband carrier are provided. Time-frequency resources of the wideband carrier within a transmission time interval are divided into multiple time-frequency resource blocks. Each of the time-frequency resource blocks corresponds to a group of contiguous subcarriers of the wideband carrier and orthogonal frequency division multiplexing symbols. Data streams may be scheduled to be transmitted in different time-frequency resource blocks, and may be destined for different user equipments or the same user equipment. Baseband processing operations may be performed on data streams scheduled in different time-frequency resource blocks independently from one another. Separate control channels or one common control channel may be configured for data transmissions in different time-frequency resource blocks.
