Abstract: A pipeline construction usable for internally insulating a welded joint between pipes with an internal protective coating. A device for internally insulating a welded pipeline joint includes a sealing assembly including a cylindrical housing and a coaxially-fastened cylindrical working member that radially expands upon generation of excess pressure in a cavity thereof. Inside the housing are a sealing compound feed assembly, a dosing device formed by a piston assembly for sealing compound components, and a pneumatic control assembly. In the dosing device, working cavities for each component are connected to the feed assembly. The elastic working member has a conduit connected to the feed assembly for feeding sealing compound into an annular gap in a welded joint region, and a conduit for pumping air out of the gap. The pneumatic control assembly controls dosing device and feed assembly functioning and generates excess air pressure in the working member cavity.

Abstract: An end effector for a robotic unit used to manipulate a vehicle door, which includes: a detection module; a transmission member extending into the detection module and configured to generate a detection signal; a toggle configured for engagement with the vehicle door via movement of the end effector along a first (e.g., (generally) vertical) axis; and an interrupter operatively connected to the toggle such that engagement of the toggle with the vehicle door and disengagement of the toggle from the vehicle door displaces the interrupter along a second (e.g., (generally) horizontal) axis between a first position, in which the interrupter interferes with the detection signal to thereby inhibit circuit completion, and a second position, in which the interrupter permits transmission of the detection signal across the detection module to thereby permit circuit completion and inform the robotic unit of engagement between the end effector and the vehicle door.

Abstract: The present invention provides an automated system for spraying a wall of a building. The automated system comprises a gondola mounted on the building, the gondola having a linear track disposed thereon, wherein the linear track is disposed horizontally with respect to the height of the building; a robotic mechanism slidably mounted on the linear track of the gondola, the robotic mechanism further having an end effector adapted to support a spray nozzle thereon; a visual monitoring system configured to scan structural characteristics and profiles of the wall; a computing device disposed in communication with the visual monitoring system and the robotic mechanism, wherein the computing device is configured to receive the scanned structural characteristics and profile of the wall from the visual monitoring system; and a controller communicably coupled to the computing device, the controller configured to independently control operation of respective ones of the robotic mechanism, and the spray nozzle according to the scanned structural characteristics and profiles of the wall.
