    摘要: A fusion welding socket (18) for coupling together plastic pipes, is adapted to receive the pipe parts to be coupled together with a tight fit. The diameter of the ends (19) of the socket is greater than the diameter of the socket along an intermediate part (20) and the diameter at the ends is adapted to receive with a tight fit an outer pipe (1) and the diameter of the intermediate part is adapted to receive with a tight fit an inner pipe (2) of a double-pipe conduit which includes two coaxial pipes and a leakage detection space (3) therebetween. The socket includes coils (24-27) having resistance wires or filaments which enable the socket material to be fused locally together with the material in both the outer pipes and the inner pipes of two double-pipe conduits that are to be coupled together with the aid of the socket. The socket also includes at least one passageway (21) which interconnects the spaces in the socket on both sides of the intermediate socket part.

    摘要: A fusion welding socket for coupling together double walled plastic conduits including an inner pipe, an outer pipe surrounding the inner pipe and an annular space arranged between the inner and outer pipes. The fusion welding socket includes a main body comprising a first end portion, a second end portion and an intermediate portion. The intermediate portion has at least one inner diameter which is smaller than the inner diameters of the first and second end portions. Three heating coils are embedded in the first end portion, the second end portion and the intermediate portion, respectively, for fusing together the first and second end portions with a respective outer pipe of a first and second conduit and the intermediate portion with a respective inner pipe of the first and second conduit. A passageway includes an annular space is arranged to connect the annular spaces of the first and second conduit after fusion.

    摘要: An induction connecting sleeve for connecting weldable thermoplastic elements by means of fusion, with at least two sockets for the insertion of connection sections of the thermoplastic elements to be connected, and with an induction heating element embedded in the sockets, with operative sections of the induction heating element surrounded completely by a weldable thermoplastic material, and with the induction heating element arranged coaxially to the sockets. The induction heating element may be manufactured of metallic material with spring characteristics and to embed it under pre-tension in the thermoplastic material of the sockets. When the induction heating element is heated and the thermoplastic material of the socket of the induction connecting sleeve is plasticized, the induction heating element relaxes which causes radial pressure to build towards the connection section.

    摘要: A double containment pipe fitting and method of making same is disclosed. The fitting includes a branch double containment pipe section butt welded to a double containment pipe header, or main section to form a fitting wherein the branch section extends away from the header section. The header and branch section primary and secondary pipe portions contain distinct engagement surfaces which are joined together to form the fitting. A unique, non-planar heating element having opposed heating surfaces is brought into contact with the main and branch pipe sections to soften the plastic for welding purposes which are then joined together in a manner such that the respective centerlines of each pipe section intersect.
