Abstract:
Identification labels and their incorporation in rubber-based articles are described. The labels include RFID components and can be incorporated in tires. The labels can withstand the relatively harsh conditions associated with vulcanization.
Abstract:
A method of manufacturing a rubber member includes forming a mask on which pattern structures are arranged at a constant pitch, arranging the mask on a substrate of a mold made of a metal or a semiconductor material and etching the substrate. The method further includes adhering unvulcanized rubber to the substrate, vulcanizing the unvulcanized rubber to form vulcanized rubber, and transferring a fine ridged/grooved structure to a surface of the vulcanized rubber. The fine ridged/grooved structure is formed on at least a part of the surface of the vulcanized rubber as the rubber member, the fine ridged/grooved structure having fine ridged/grooved portions arranged at the constant pitch. A region in which the fine ridged/grooved structure is provided is visually recognizable by a structural color different from colors of other regions.
Abstract:
A tread part with a color line includes a tread part that is a rubber extruded shape having a predetermined cross-sectional shape and extending in an extrusion direction, and has a first main surface that constitutes an outer peripheral surface of a green tire in a tire radial direction when the tread part is wound in a cylindrical shape and a pair of opposing wall surfaces that extend in the extrusion direction on the first main surface and face each other in a left-right direction orthogonal to the extrusion direction, and color rubber extending in the extrusion direction between the pair of the opposing wall surfaces on the first main surface.
Abstract:
In the pneumatic tire where a mark is formed on a surface of the side wall portion, the mark is formed such that one end portion and the other end portion of the mark in at least one direction of a tire meridian direction, a tire circumferential direction or an oblique direction inclined with respect to the tire meridian direction or the tire circumferential direction are recessed with respect to the surface of the side wall portion, a center portion of the mark in the at least one direction is raised with respect to the surface of the side wall portion, and a height of a surface of the mark with respect to the surface of the side wall portion is gradually increased toward the center portion from the one end portion and the other end portion.
Abstract:
A color mark structure applying on rubber product comprises cellophane and a transfer paper. The transfer paper is arranged on the cellophane and a predetermined color or a predetermined pattern with a predetermined color is printed thereon by screen printing. The transfer paper having the predetermined color or the predetermined pattern with the predetermined color and the cellophane are attached on the rubber product. The upper and lower sides of the transfer paper are respectively connected with the cellophane and the rubber product.
Abstract:
A distribution unit (U) for distribution carbonaceous particulate material, in particular powdered rubber or equivalent material to be applied on the peripheral surfaces (F) of a tire (P), comprises nozzle diffuser (2) for spreading said particulate material and pneumatic supply (1,3,5,7) for feeding said particulate material to said nozzle diffuser (2).
Abstract:
A method for manufacturing a tire having a sidewall portion provided with a projecting marking is disclosed. A stencil plate for molding the projecting marking is made of a thin metallic plate whose thickness is 0.2 to 0.8 mm and mounted in a recess formed in a sidewall molding surface of the tire vulcanization mold. A concave marking part for molding the projecting marking is formed by press working upon the metallic plate. Edge portions of the stencil plate are turned back. The backward extension H2 of the turnback is substantially the same as the depth of the concave marking part.
Abstract:
A tire made of rubbery material comprising a sidewall (3). The sidewall (3) comprises at least one coded matrix symbol (4), the coded matrix symbol (4) comprising dark parts and light parts, the dark parts being made up of a texture formed as an integral part of the sidewall (3) and contrasting against the rest of the tire (1). The texture is an organized arrangement of a plurality of elements (401, 402, 403, 404, 405, 411, 414).
Abstract:
A tire marking apparatus and tire marking method capable of placing multiple, differently colored marks on a tire sidewall. The apparatus includes a frame assembly that movably mounts a stamping bar assembly carrying a plurality of stamping bar elements, each stamping element selectively movable into a marking position and a plurality of tape cassettes, each of which may carry tape of a different color. Each tape cassette is selectively movable into a tire marking position. An actuator advances a portion of an aligned tape cassette towards a tire marking region on the sidewall and moves an aligned stamping element into printing contact with the tire sidewall. This movement transfers material from the tape to the tire sidewall in a pattern that corresponds to indicia defined by the stamping element. The frame assembly includes an intermediate frame that is shiftable between at least two positions.
Abstract:
The invention relates to a tire made of rubbery material comprising a sidewall on which there is formed at least one pattern that contrasts with this sidewall. The pattern comprises a plurality of strands distributed through the pattern with a density of at least five strands per square millimetre (mm2), each strand having a mean cross section of between 0.003 mm2 and 0.06 mm2. The tire also comprises on the said sidewall at least two ribs that pass through the pattern and between which strands of the pattern are present, the said ribs being distant from one another by at most 10 mm, each rib having a height of at least 0.25 mm and a mean width of at least 0.20 mm, the said pattern following the relief formed by the ribs.
