摘要: Mold intended to be used for the manufacture of a gas turbine fan casing made of composite material including: a mandrel on which a fibrous preform of a fan casing is intended to be wound said preform comprising an annular wall the profile of the outer surface of which corresponds to that of the inner surface of the casing to be manufactured and two side flasks the profiles of which correspond to those of outer flanges of the casing to be manufactured; a plurality of angular counter-mold sectors assembled in a sealed manner on the mandrel and intended to close the mold and to compact a fibrous preform wound on the mandrel; and at least one compacting wedge, the wedge being placed between the fibrous preform wound on the mandrel and the associated angular counter-mold sector.

摘要: A method for repairing composite components includes positioning repair material within a repair region of a composite component formed of a composite material. Furthermore, the method includes heating the repair region to a first temperature. Additionally, the method includes heating a remaining portion of the composite component to a second temperature. Moreover, the method includes melt infiltrating the repair region with an infiltrant to densify the repair material. The first temperature is at or above a melting point of the infiltrant and the second temperature is less than the melting point.

摘要: A process for manufacturing a cylindrical composite component comprises includes producing a fibrous texture in the form of a strip by three-dimensional or multi-layer weaving, winding the fibrous texture on several superimposed lathes on a mandrel with a profile corresponding to that of the component to be manufactured so as to form a fibrous preform, densifying the fibrous preform by a matrix. When the fibrous texture is wound on the mandrel, a web including a fugitive material filled with carbon nanotubes is interposed between the adjacent turns of the fibrous texture.

摘要: Method for producing a casing made of a composite material for an aircraft turbine engine, the casing having an annular shape and including an annular fibrous preform formed by winding a fibrous cloth soaked in a polymer matrix, the method including the steps of: a) positioning an edge of the cloth on a molding drum, this cloth having a generally elongate shape and the edge being located at a first longitudinal end of the cloth, b) winding the cloth on the drum, over at least one rotation, so as to obtain the preform wound around the drum, c) molding of the preform and hardening of the resin which is injected into the preform or pre-impregnated on the preform, wherein the method includes, before step a), a step i) of mounting a removable stop on the drum, and in that step a) includes abutting the edge against this stop.

摘要: Methods for removing a fiber-reinforced wrap from a fan casing are provided. The method may include heating the fiber-reinforced wrap while on a metal support (e.g., aluminum, steel, etc.) of the fan casing, unwinding a layer of the fiber-reinforced wrap from the fan casing, and winding the layer of the fiber-reinforced wrap onto a collection drum. The fiber-reinforced wrap may heated to a temperature of about 120° C. to about 200° C. (e.g., about 125° C. to about 185° C.). Systems are also generally provided for removing a fiber-reinforced wrap from a fan casing.

摘要: A method of binder jet printing a part includes depositing a layer of a powder on a working surface and selectively printing a binder solution comprising a binder into the layer of powder in a first pattern to generate a printed layer. The pattern is representative of a structure of a layer of the part. The method also includes selectively printing a channel support agent solution comprising a channel support agent into the layer of powder to generate a green body. The channel support agent is selectively printed in a second pattern representative of an internal channel of the part. The method further includes heating the green body part above a first temperature to remove the binder and generate a brown body part and heating the brown body part above a second temperature to sinter the powder to generate the part having the internal channel generated from removal of the channel support agent.
