摘要: The present invention provides an electrophotographic toner binder containing, as a main component, a polymer whose constituent monomer is a monomer having an ethylenically unsaturated bond, the electrophotographic toner binder being excellent in low-temperature fixability, hot-offset resistance, and storage stability. The present invention provides an electrophotographic toner binder containing a polymer (A) containing a monomer (a) and a monomer (x) different from the monomer (a) as essential constituent monomers, wherein the monomer (a) is a (meth)acrylate having a C18-C36 acyclic hydrocarbon group, the polymer (A) has an acid value of 40 or less, and the polymer (A) satisfies the following relational expression (1):

摘要: Provided is a binder for non-aqueous secondary battery porous membrane-use that enables formation of a porous membrane having excellent durability and that can improve stability under high shear of a composition for porous membrane-use. The binder for non-aqueous secondary battery porous membrane-use includes a particulate polymer. The particulate polymer is a random copolymer including at least 35 mass % of an alkyl (meth)acrylate monomer unit and at least 20 mass % and no greater than 65 mass % of an aromatic monovinyl monomer unit. A degree of swelling of the particulate polymer with respect to a non-aqueous electrolysis solution is greater than a factor of 1 and no greater than a factor of 2.

摘要: A comb polymer can be used for reducing a Noack evaporation loss of a lubricant composition, especially of an engine oil composition. Application of the comb polymer to the lubricant composition can bring about the desired reduction. The comb polymer can include specified amounts of macromonomer and alkyl acrylates. Resulting lubricant compositions can include the comb polymer.

摘要: A photoacid-generating compound has the structure wherein m, n, R1, R2, X, Y, and Z− are defined herein. The photoacid-generating compound exhibits strong absorption and chemical sensitivity to extreme ultraviolet radiation, while also absorbing longer wavelengths with desirably reduced chemical sensitivity. Also described are a polymer incorporating the residue of a polymerizable version of the photoacid-generating compound, a photoresist composition that includes the photoacid-generating compound, the polymer, or a combination thereof, and a method of forming a photoresist relief image using the photoresist composition.

摘要: To provide a water/oil repellent composition whereby it is possible to obtain an article which is excellent in each of water-repellency, oil-repellency, washing durability, heavy rain durability and texture, a method for producing said composition, and an article which is excellent in each of water-repellency, oil-repellency, washing durability, heavy rain durability and texture. The water/oil repellent composition comprises a copolymer having units based on a monomer (a), units based on a monomer (b) and units based on a monomer (c), and a liquid medium. Monomer (a): a compound represented by (Z—Y)nX (Z: a C1-6 perfluoroalkyl group, etc.; Y: a divalent organic group, etc.; n: 1 or 2; X: a polymerizable unsaturated group). Monomer (b): a (meth)acrylate having no polyfluoroalkyl group and having an alkyl group with at least 20 carbon atoms. Monomer (c): a compound represented by CH2═CR1C(O)O—[(C2H4O)a(C4H8O)b]—H (R1: a hydrogen atom or a methyl group, and a/b=1 to 3).

摘要: An active energy ray curable composition is provided. The active energy ray curable composition includes polymerizable compounds including a first monofunctional monomer having a polar group, a second monofunctional monomer having no polar group, and a polyfunctional monomer. The homopolymer of each of the first monofunctional monomer and the second monofunctional monomer has a glass transition temperature of 50° C. or more. The first monofunctional monomer and the second monofunctional monomer account for 50% by mass or more of the polymerizable compounds in total, and the polyfunctional monomer accounts for 30% by mass or less of the polymerizable compounds.
