摘要: Hybrid rope (20) comprising a core element (22) containing high modulus fibers surrounded by at least one outer layer (24) containing wirelike metallic members (26). The core element (22) is coated (23) with a thermoplastic polyurethane or a copolyester elastomer, preferably the copolyester elastomer containing soft blocks in the range of 10 to 70 wt %. The coated material (23) on the inner core element (22) is inhibited to be pressed out in-between the wirelike members (26) of the hybrid rope (20) and the hybrid rope (20) has decreased elongation and diameter reduction after being in use.

摘要: In a rope of a type of filling a resin constituting other member between strands, there is provided a wire rope for a running wire capable of promoting fatigue life by reducing a wire breakage at a point of being contacted to a core rope by precisely constraining a movement of a wire and reducing an elongation.A rope having a core rope and a plurality of pieces of side strands arranged at an outer periphery thereof and twisted together, and a resinous spacer interposed between the side strands, in which the core rope includes a rope main body and a resin coating layer outwardly surrounding the core rope main body, the core rope main body and the side strand are separated by the resin coating layer, and the resin spacer is provided with a contour in correspondence with an outer layer wire of the side strand and invades between the wires.

摘要: In the pneumatic tire of this invention, at least the outermost one of a plurality of rubber layers between the carcass and tread has been reinforced with a plurality of steel cords. Each of these steel cords is a single-strand steel cord with an elongation at break of not less than 4% and at least one of its component wires does not form a common circumcircle with the remaining wires. The curve circumscribing the cross-sections of the constituent wires of each steel cord is not a true circle. Furthermore, a high resistance to nail penetration is assured by arranging the steel cords in such a manner that, for a large majority of steel cords, the direction of maximum offset span of the circumscribing curve is substantially coincidental with the width direction of the outermost layer of rubber.

摘要: A compact steel cord is provided. The cord includes a core-filament I steel wire with a diameter of d0, and four middle-layer M steel wires with a diameter of d1 and eight outer-layer O steel wires with a diameter of d2 that are twisted around the core-filament I steel wire in the same lay direction and the same lay length. Gaps L are reserved between the outer-layer O steel wires, an average width of the gaps L is not smaller than 0.02 mm, and the total size of the gaps L is larger than d0 and smaller than d1. The steel cord of a stable structure can be obtained by controlling the proportion of the sizes of all layers of monofilaments, the rubber coating performance of a tire cord can also be improved, the corrosion resistance, fatigue resistance, impact resistance and adhesion retention of a tire are improved.
