摘要: An engine system is provided. The engine system includes a passageway having an inner surface and an outer surface. The passageway is adapted to allow a flow of air therethrough. The engine system also includes a sensor provided in the passageway and in contact with the air. The sensor is adapted to sense a parameter of the air. The engine system further includes a hydrophobic coating having a micropatterned texture provided on at least one of the inner surface of the passageway and the sensor. The hydrophobic coating is adapted to limit deposition of at least one of a fluid and a solid thereon.

摘要: A condensed water treatment device determines whether a storage water quantity Qw of condensed water generated in an EGR cooler and stored in a condensed water tank is equal to or less than a lower limit t1 (S2). When the storage water quantity Qw is equal to or less than the lower limit t1, the flow rate of the EGR cooler is set to 100% and the flow rate of a bypass passage is set to 0% (S3), whereby supply of condensed water to an internal combustion engine is stopped (S5). Thereby, the condensed water treatment device increases the storage water quantity Qw. While, when the storage water quantity Qw is more than the lower limit t1 and also equal to or more than the upper limit t2, the flow rate of the EGR cooler is set to 0% and the flow rate of the bypass passage is set to 100% (S7), whereby supply of condensed water to the internal combustion engine is executed (S9). Thereby, the condensed water treatment device decreases the storage water quantity Qw.

摘要: A method and a system for estimation of a soot load in a particle filter in an exhaust cleaning system, which estimation involves using a pressure drop across said particle filter in order to determine the soot load. Measurement of the pressure drop across the particle filter and therefore the estimation have to take place at a time when an exhaust mass flow of the exhaust cleaning system exceeds a flow threshold value, the particle filter is substantially free from water and a temperature of the particle filter exceeds a first threshold value. The result is a robust estimate of the soot load in the particle filter.

摘要: In an exhaust gas purification apparatus of an internal combustion engine, there is provided a technique capable of suppressing a reduction in exhaust gas purification performance. The apparatus includes: an exhaust gas purification catalyst (6) that is arranged in an exhaust passage of the internal combustion engine for purifying an exhaust gas; an adsorption device (5) that is arranged at an upstream side of the exhaust gas purification catalyst, rises in temperature up to an upper limit temperature due to heat generated by adsorption thereto of an incoming first component, and falls in temperature after its temperature has reached said upper limit temperature; and a heat generating component supply unit (10) that supplies a second component which generates reaction heat in the exhaust gas purification catalyst, before the temperature of the adsorption device begins to fall.

摘要: A condensed water discharge apparatus is capable of smoothly excreting residual condensed water in a muffler. The device may include a through hole formed at the bottom of a muffler case, an inflow pipe communicated to the muffler case and in which exhaust gas flows, an exhaust pipe communicated to the atmosphere so that exhaust gas is exhausted from the muffler case thereto, a thermoelement, and a control valve mounted at the through hole so as to selectively open/close the through hole when driving or stopped by sliding about the through hole.

In one example, a method may include supplying water to the engine coolant reservoir in response to the engine coolant level decreasing below a threshold. Also, a relative glycol amount in the coolant may be maintained at a threshold amount by adding water to the coolant in response to a relative glycol increasing above the threshold.

摘要: An apparatus for discharging water in exhaust fluid is disclosed. The apparatus includes a body having an inlet disposed on an exhaust path for exhausting exhaust fluid exhausted from a fuel cell stack to the outside and through which the exhaust fluid is introduced, an outlet communicating with the outside, an interior space allowing the inlet and the outlet to communicate each other, and a discharge passage communicating with the outside to discharge water in the interior space. The apparatus further includes a first resistance unit disposed on a flow path along which the exhaust fluid flows in the interior space and having first fine holes through which at least a portion of the exhaust fluid passes, and a second resistance unit disposed on a discharge path along which the water in the interior space is discharged through the discharge passage and having second fine holes through which the water passes.
