    摘要: A machined shape of a bore is based on the deformation amount of a data-acquisition bore after fastening of cylinder head. A cross section of an approximate shape is set to be an approximately-true circle shape, and a diameter of the approximately-true circle shape is changed along a central axial direction in accordance with the deformation amount of the data-acquisition bore, to determine the approximate shape. The approximate shape has a cross section having the approximately-true circle shape and has a simple shape which is symmetrical about the central axis. Since the machined shape of the bore is the shape obtained by reversing a phase of a recess and a projection of the approximate shape about a predetermined cylindrical shape, the machined shape has a cross section having the approximately-true circle shape and has a simple shape which is symmetrical about the central axis.

The air-cooled engine (10) comprises a cylinder block (33), and a cylinder head (28) that closes off one end of a cylinder (26). The cylinder head (28) includes a base part (81) that is superposed on and secured to the cylinder block (33) by a plurality of bolts (91), and a valve compartment (83) formed integrally on the base part (81). All of the bolts (91) are disposed near the outer periphery of the base part (81) at positions outside of the valve compartment (83).

    摘要: A cylinder head bolt inserted into a cylinder head is threadingly engaged with an engine casing comprised of a cylinder and a crankcase to tighten the cylinder head and the engine casing firmly together. Between a rotation operating part, which is provided in a head of the cylinder head bolt, and an upper surface of the cylinder head, a plain washer and a spring member placed thereabove are interposed. The spring member is capable of exerting an axially acting spring force. A first frictional resistance between the rotation operating part and the spring member is so chosen to be lower than a second frictional resistance between the spring member and the plain washer and a third frictional resistance between the plain washer and a bearing surface on the cylinder head.

    摘要: A bolt fastening structure for an internal combustion engine includes bolt fitting holes formed in a cylinder of the engine. An inner wall of a top portion of a crankcase includes boss portions having openings, as an extension to the corresponding bolt fitting holes, with internal threads formed therein. The crankcase further includes hollow recesses formed thereon between the boss portions and crankshaft rotational support portions. Fastening bolts, each having an external thread formed at a tip portion thereof, are extended through the bolt fitting holes, and engaged with the internal threads of the boss portion. The hollow recesses include portions of the openings of the boss portions having the internal threads opened therein.
