    摘要: A method of selecting a gear ratio of a transmission. The method includes measuring a current road grade with a sensing device and communicating the current road grade measurement to the controller. The controller receives a signal corresponding to a service brake input and determines a desired maximum acceleration limit of the vehicle. The method also includes calculating a predicted vehicle acceleration, measuring a current vehicle acceleration, and calculating an error value as a function of the predicted vehicle acceleration and measured vehicle acceleration. The method also computes an estimated required tractive braking effort and estimated tractive braking effort for at least one of N automatically selectable gear ratios of the transmission and selects one gear ratio of the N automatically selectable gear ratios for the operation of the transmission based on a comparison of the estimated required tractive braking effort and estimated tractive braking effort.

    摘要: The present disclosure provides a method of selecting a gear ratio of a transmission.     摘要: A method for adjusting downshift points of a vehicle transmission to assist vehicle braking in a vehicle having a brake system with a brake master cylinder and a brake pedal for actuating the brake system may comprise determining if the brake pedal is pressed. When the brake pedal is pressed, an intended brake effort may be determined and the actual deceleration of the vehicle may be calculated. A threshold deceleration for the intended brake effort may then be determined and compared to the vehicle deceleration. When the vehicle deceleration is less than the threshold deceleration for the intended braking effort a downshift point of the transmission may be adjusted. Thereafter the transmission may be downshifted using the adjusted downshift point.

    摘要: An automatic transmission control device of a vehicle performs a gear change operation based on a deceleration of the vehicle. The automatic transmission control device detects the deceleration of the vehicle and an engine rotational speed. The device also stores a peak value of the engine rotation speed during a period in which a vehicle travels with one predetermined gear step, and includes a relationship map showing the relationship between the deceleration and a shift-down rotational speed. The device performs an automatic shift-down when the engine rotational speed is lowered from the peak value by a predetermined rotational speed which is obtained from the map based on the deceleration.
