摘要： A color filter, a display device using the color filter, and a method for preparing the color filter are provided. The color filter is provided with a plurality of pixel regions in one-to-one correspondence to light within a plurality of different wavebands, respectively. The color filer comprises a plurality of stacked dielectric films. Each of the dielectric films reflects light within one waveband and transmits light within other wavebands. In each of the pixel regions, the dielectric film for reflecting light within a waveband corresponding to this pixel region is replaced with a polarization-separation film for reflecting light in a first polarization direction and transmitting light in a second polarization direction. The color filter provided by embodiments of the present invention improves the transmittance of incident light and the utilization ratio of the incident light and can further provide powerful technical support for the enhancement of image display quality.

摘要： Provided are a brightness enhancement film including a λ/4 plate, and a reflection polarizer, in which the reflection polarizer includes at least two light reflection layers formed by immobilizing a cholesteric liquid crystalline phase, one light reflection layer of the reflection layers is a layer formed of a polymerizable liquid crystal composition containing a rod-like liquid crystal compound, and the other light reflection layer is a layer formed of a polymerizable liquid crystal composition containing a disk-like liquid crystal compound, and an optical sheet member including the brightness enhancement film, and a liquid crystal display device including the optical sheet member. The brightness enhancement film of the present invention has high brightness and is able to suppress an oblique change in the shade at the time of being incorporated in a liquid crystal display device.

摘要： The present invention provides a backlight for dual-view display, comprising: a light source; a light-guide plate, which allows the incoming of light from the light source and uniformly guides and diffuses the light; a diffusing sheet, which is placed between the light-guide plate and liquid crystal panel; two prism sheets, which are placed between the diffusing sheet and the liquid crystal panel; and a reflective sheet, wherein the face where the prism is formed on the prism sheet on the diffusing sheet side amongst the two prism sheets faces the diffusing sheet, and the prism axis (the ridge line of the prism) is placed as to be parallel to a longitudinal direction with respect to the liquid crystal screen; the face where the prism is formed on the prism sheet on the liquid crystal panel side faces the liquid crystal panel, and the prism axis (the ridge line of the prism) is placed as to be the same as the lateral directions with respect to the liquid crystal screen; the prism tip angle of the prism sheet on the diffusing sheet side is 80° to 95°, and the prism tip angle of the prism sheet on the liquid crystal panel side is 70° to 100°.

The selective reflection polarizer (120) includes a transparent substrate (122) and a plurality of metal wires (124) arrayed on the transparent substrate (122). The ratio of a width of the metal wires (124) to a pitch of the metal wires (124) is greater than 30% and equal to or less than 42%, and the backlight (110) has a reflectance of 0.6 or more.
