    Abstract: An electrical device contains a metal device housing and at least one electrical component which is located in the metal device housing. Accordingly, there is an opening in the metal device housing, in which opening a ventilation element is inserted, which enables ventilation of the device housing interior through at least one ventilation channel of the ventilation element. The ventilation element has a material that increases in volume in the event of heating when an activation temperature is reached and thus closes the at least one ventilation channel.

    Abstract: An accommodation space formation member forms an accommodation space and a communication hole. The accommodation space accommodates an electronic component. The communication hole communicates the accommodation space with an outside of the accommodation space formation member. A ventilation member is equipped to the communication hole or an opening of the communication hole on a side of the accommodation space. The ventilation member is configured to permit flow of vapor between the accommodation space and the outside and to restrict flow of liquid between the accommodation space and the outside. The accommodation space formation member has an outer wall having a first groove portion, which forms a first groove. The first groove communicates with an opening of the communication hole on the outside.

    Abstract: A compact motor-drive unit wherein each component can be stably fixed to the unit. A motor-drive unit has a plurality of substrates each having a circuit for driving a motor; semiconductor devices mounted on the respective substrates; at least one smoothing capacitor mounted on at least one of the substrates; and a heat radiator having a heat-transferring surface adjacent to the semiconductors.
