    摘要: The present invention also relates to a process for preparing a diamine/dicarboxylic acid salt wherein the dicarboxylic acid comprises an aromatic dicarboxylic acid and is provided in a powder form; the diamine is provided in a liquid form gradually dosed to the dicarboxylic acid powder, while keeping the dicarboxylic acid powder in constant movement; the processing temperature is above 0° C. and below the boiling temperature of the diamine and the melting temperature of the acid and the salt, and the reaction mixture comprises at most 5 wt. % of water. The present invention also relates to an anhydrous diamine/dicarboxylic acid salt obtainable by the process according to invention, or any embodiment thereof as described above.

    摘要: A complex comprises at least an α2-adrenergic receptor agonist and a compound that provides an opposite charge to a charge on the α2-adrenergic receptor agonist, wherein the complex is charge neutral as a whole and has a solubility in a range from about 0.3 μg/ml to about 2.5 mg/ml in water at pH of about 7 and temperature of about 25° C. The complex is included in a composition, device, or implant for use in the neuroprotection of components of a neurological tissue to prevent progressive degeneration of such components. In particular, such a composition, device, or implant can be used to provide neuroprotection to cells and components of the optic nerve system.

    摘要: A process for producing a cleaved product from castor oil, or derivatives thereof, by high temperature caustic oxidation reaction accomplished by combining at least one chemically inert heat transfer fluid, a catalyst, and an alkali in aqueous solution to form a first mixture wherein the diluent is present in an amount sufficient to reduce foaming and solidification of the mixture while increasing the yield and improving the purity and adding a ricinic compound to the first mixture to form a second mixture. The temperature of the second mixture is raised to a level sufficient to conduct pyrolysis, and the cleaved product produced thereby is recovered by adding an acid to the reaction mixture in an amount sufficient to acidify the reaction mixture down below a pH of about 6. The invention further relates to the reaction mixture used to produce the cleaved products. The present invention provides higher product yields and purer cleaved products produced by the oxidation of castor oil or its derivatives than conventionally obtained.

    摘要: Crude 1,10-decanedicarboxylic acid produced by the nitric acid oxidation at 20.degree.14 60.degree. C. of cyclododecanone, cyclododecanol or a mixture thereof can be purified by distillation to a purity suitable for use in the production of polyamides and polyesters by reducing prior to distillation, e.g., by heating to 70.degree.-90.degree. C., the organically bound nitrogen content and as required the nitric acid content, e.g., by washing, and water content thereof so that the sample which is distilled has maximum contents thereof of 0.05%, 0.02% and 0.1% by weight, respectively, and distilling the pre-purified sample at a sump temperature of 215.degree.-225.degree. C. and at a pressure of 0.5 - 2 torr.

    摘要: This specification discloses a process of reacting an acetic acid derivative with ethylene in the presence of a catalyst. The acetic acid derivatives include esters, the amide, substituted amides, and the anhydride of acetic acid. The catalyst is insoluble in the acetic acid derivatives, the ethylene, and the reaction products thereof and is an oxide of manganese wherein the manganese has a valence at least as great as 3. The catalyst, following the reaction, can be separated from the reaction mixture and regenerated by heating in the presence of an oxygencontaining gas. Thereafter, the regenerated catalyst may be employed further for the reaction of an acetic acid derivative with ethylene.
