摘要： The viscosity of liquid organic systems is increased by adding thereto an organophilic clay gellant which is the reaction product of a smectite clay having a cation exchange capacity of at least 0.75 milliequivalents per gram and from 1.00 to less than 1.20 milliequivalents per gram of clay of a methyl benzyl dialkyl ammonium salt, wherein the two alkyl groups independently contain from 16 to 18 carbon atoms, and from 0% to 1% water in the absence of a polar organic dispersant for the gellant.

摘要： A semi-synthetic lubricant for high temperature applications, particularly adapted for use on relatively movable metallic surfaces during the shearing of molten glass, and consisting of an aqueous solution of a formulation comprising a non-drying vegetable oil, such as coconut oil, alkanolamine, the phosphate ester of an ethylene oxide adduct of a linear primary alcohol, an emulsifier, preferably the ethoxylated sorbitol hexaoleate, the fatty nitrogen derivative of distilled coconut oil primary amine, and a wetting agent. The wetting agent is preferably the methyl ester of a 50:50 mixture of methyl palmitate and methyl oleate.

The remainder being essentially water. The coating is useful as a lubricant to facilitate pulling plastic-sheathed cable through a conduit, drawing wire through a die and mounting a tire on a rim. The coating is an emollient for wood and useful in metalworking to inhibit or otherwise control oxidation, and as an annealing and normalizing agent.

摘要： The pasty damping medium is used to damp mechanical and/or acoustic osciallations. The agent contains as a minimum compound a solid finely divided substance or a mixture of solid finely divided substances, as a liquid phase, a silicone oil, a polyglycol, a mineral oil and/or a saturated aliphatic or aromatic aliphatic carboxylic acid ester, an agent for increasing the interfacial surface activity or a surfactant, a finely divided magnesium and/or aluminium silicate and/or a silicon dioxide finely divided as a viscosity stabilizer and possibly a small quantity of an antioxidant. The invention concerns also a method for producing the pasty damping medium and the use of the pasty damping medium in different hydraulic damping devices or for industrial shock absorber or industrial vibration damper.
