    摘要: A fuel injection device is provided which can inject fuel by very high injection pressure and can realize favorable combustion and exhaust characteristics, and moreover, enables performance of fuel injection with arbitrary fuel injection patterns. In the fuel injection device 30, the protrusion 61 is provided at a distal end portion of the piston control valve 60 which is provided at the pressure intensifier 54, can change a practical opening area of the fuel flow path 57 to the cylinder 56 in accordance with movement of the piston control valve 60, and can control inflow amounts of liquid fuel that is flowed into the cylinder 56 by the piston control valve 60 (does orifice control). Thus, control of injection rates and injection pressures of fuel that is injected from the fuel injection nozzle 34 is enabled, and fuel injection patterns can be realized with an extremely high degree of freedom.

    摘要: To suppress deposition of fuel injected at an early timing on a wall surface for preventing the degradation in fuel efficiency and increase in the amount of harmful components in an exhaust gas, in a direct-injection diesel engine which controls the injector to cause a combustion configuration dominated by the compressive ignition of the premixture while the engine is in the premixed combustion region defined on a low load side. When fuel is injected at an early timing to form the premixture, at least one of the pulse width to be inputted into the injector and the fuel pressure is or are adjusted according to the change in the injection timing, and corrected according to the intake air temperature or the intake pressure. If an allowable pulse width is insufficient to inject fuel in the amount corresponding to a target torque, fuel is injected in a divided manner.

The fuel is supplied to Diesel engines which operate in a maximum speed range of 1000 rpm (4-stroke engine) respectively 2500 rpm (2-stroke engine). The power output is greater than 200 bph. The cylinder bore is greater than 100 mm (2-stroke engine) while the piston stroke shall be greater than 150 mm (4-stroke engine) respectively greater than 120 mm (2-stroke engine). The metal containing detergent is a neutral calcium sulfonate, salicylate or calcium phenate. The non-metal containing detergent is a hydrocarbyl succinimide.

    摘要: A fuel injection system carries out a multi-injection. A preceding injection affects a pressure in a combustion chamber at a succeeding injection. In order to ensure an amount and timing of a succeeding injection, the ECU carries out a compensating process. In one embodiment, an injection period for the succeeding injection is corrected by varying a corrective value in accordance with parameters indicative of a pressure deviation. In another embodiment, each of the injection amounts for preceding and succeeding injections is corrected in accordance with deviations from a standard pressure respectively. The deviation is determined based on an intake pressure.

    摘要: For each cylinder of the internal combustion engine, the fuel injection apparatus has a high-pressure fuel pump and a fuel injection valve connected to it. A pump piston of the high-pressure fuel pump defines a pump working chamber connected to a pressure chamber of the fuel injection valve, which has an injection valve member which controls the injection openings and which the pressure prevailing in the pressure chamber can move in an opening direction counter to a closing force. A first control valve controls a connection between the pump working chamber and a relief chamber, and a second control valve controls a connection between the relief chamber and a control pressure chamber, which is connected to the pump working chamber. A control piston, which acts on the injection valve member, has a surface area that is acted on by the pressure prevailing in the control pressure chamber and that is determined in such a way that with a closed second control valve, the force acting on the control piston when the fuel injection valve is open with a partial stroke of the injection valve member is sufficient to close the fuel injection valve, and with a maximal stroke of the injection valve member, this force is not sufficient to close the fuel injection valve.

    摘要: An in-cylinder injection type spark-ignition internal combustion engine includes a spark plug, a fuel injection valve, and a piston having a top face and a cavity formed in a first part of the top face. The cavity is located closer to the fuel injection valve with respect to a center of the piston so as to bring the injected fuel toward the spark plug. A space formed in the cylinder at a top dead center of a compression stroke of the piston includes a first space in which a center of the cavity is located, and a second space. The first space is located on one side of a plane that passes through a center axis of the spark plug in parallel with a center axis of the cylinder and is perpendicular to a radial direction in which the center of the cavity deviates from the center of the piston. The second space is located on the other side of the plane. The top face of the piston is designed so as to reduce a volumetric difference between the first space and the second space, thereby preventing generation of a strong air stream flowing between the first space and the second space at around the top dead center.
