摘要: The regeneration tower with a cylindrical section and a conical section has a tertiary screen covering an opening in the conical section which prevents any catalyst that escapes from the cylindrical catalyst bed or the catalyst bed in the conical section from entering the oxygen-rich chlorination zone. The regeneration tower may also have one or more additional changes. The length of the cylindrical section can be increased. The inner screen in the cylindrical section may comprise punch plate or slotted plate. A secondary screen can be added in front of the inner screen in the cylindrical section.

摘要: A process for the fluorination of a chlorinated C3 alkane or alkene compound having at least one chlorine atom into a fluorinated C3 alkane or alkene compound having at least one fluorine atom includes the following steps: a) contacting, in a reactor, the chlorinated compound with hydrogen fluoride in gas phase in the presence of a fluorination catalyst to produce a fluorinated compound, and b) regenerating the fluorination catalyst used in step a). The step (b) of regenerating the fluorination catalyst comprises (c) the treatment of said fluorination catalyst with an oxidizing agent-containing gas flow to form an oxidized fluorination catalyst, and (d) the treatment of the oxidized fluorination catalyst obtained in step (c) with a gaseous mixture comprising a reducing agent and an inert gas. The catalyst regenerated in step b) is reused in step a) and the reducing agent is selected from C1-C10 hydrohalocarbons.

摘要: A method for preparing a reaction product including an aryl-functional silane includes sequential steps (1) and (2). Step (1) is contacting, under silicon deposition conditions, (A) an ingredient including (I) a halosilane such as silicon tetrahalide and optionally (II) hydrogen (H2); and (B) a metal combination comprising copper (Cu) and at least one other metal, where the at least one other metal is selected from the group consisting of gold (Au), cobalt (Co), chromium (Cr), iron (Fe), magnesium (Mg), manganese (Mn), nickel (Ni), palladium (Pd), and silver (Ag); thereby forming a silicon alloy catalyst comprising Si, Cu and the at least one other metal. Step (2) is contacting the silicon alloy catalyst and (C) a reactant including an aryl halide under silicon etching conditions.

摘要: A process for regenerating catalyst particles is disclosed. The process includes the steps: (a) withdrawing a regeneration zone effluent comprising halogen from a regeneration zone, wherein the regeneration zone contains catalyst particles comprising halogen; (b) contacting a first portion of the regeneration zone effluent with adsorbent in a first adsorption zone, removing halogen from the first portion of the regeneration zone effluent, and withdrawing from the first adsorption zone a first adsorption zone effluent; (c) contacting the first adsorption zone effluent with a water removing material to create a first water-depleted stream; and (d) passing the first water-depleted stream to the regeneration zone. Other embodiments include different orders of the steps.

摘要: A process for regenerating a catalyst used in a reaction zone. In a regeneration zone, the catalyst may be cooled before passing into a chloride rich zone. The regeneration zone may also receive a heated ambient oxygen in a catalyst heating zone. The regeneration zone may also receive recovered chloride from a chloride recovering zone which removes and recovers chloride from regeneration gas taken from the regeneration zone. Heated ambient oxygen may also be introduced into a chlorination zone.

The process can include passing a desorbent stream through the adsorbent bed to remove at least one of a nitrile compound and an oxygenate compound. Generally, the desorbent stream after desorbing is combined with a feed stream for an alkylation zone after a selective hydrogenation zone.
