摘要: A touch screen display that includes a touch screen user interface having a plurality of layers that includes a top surface layer. The display includes a coating composition coating the top surface layer. The coating composition includes metal-modified cerium oxide nanoparticles (mCNPs) having a predominantly 3+ cerium surface charge and in a range of about 3-30 nm in size and in an amount that is in a range of about 1 weight percentage of a mixture having a binder and the mCNPs and m is an antimicrobial promoting metal that is non-ionizing. The touch screen display is incorporated into various machines or electronic devices. The coating composition forms a self-disinfecting surface that is optically transparent.

摘要: Provided is a method for producing a zirconia-coated titanium oxide fine particle dispersion which includes (1) a step of preparing a dispersion (1) of titanium oxide fine particles, (2) a step of adding, to the dispersion (1), 1 to 50 parts by mass of an aqueous peroxozirconic acid solution in terms of the mass of ZrO2 per 100 parts by mass of the titanium oxide fine particles, and then aging reaction fine particles (2a) obtained as a result of a reaction between the titanium oxide fine particles and the peroxozirconic acid to thereby obtain a dispersion (2) of a zirconia-coated titanium oxide fine particle precursor (2b), and (3) a step of adjusting the dispersion (2) to have a solid concentration of 0.01 to 10 mass % and then hydrothermally treating the resulting dispersion (2).

A solution is a silver nanowire dispersion that contains silver nanowires, a dispersion solvent, and a chelating agent with the average diameter of the silver nanowires being not more than 100 nm, the silver nanowire dispersion being characterized in that the chelating agent content is 0.1 to 1,000 μmol/g with reference to the silver nanowire content, and the chelating agent is a prescribed aromatic heterocyclic compound having at least one imine skeleton in the molecule.

摘要: A coating for vehicle components, such as frame assemblies and cradle assemblies formed of steel, is provided. The coating includes a first layer including a high phosphate composition applied to the substrate, and a second layer including wax applied to the first layer. For example, the first layer can include a first inorganic acid, an inorganic salt, a second inorganic acid, nickel salt, and ammonium bifluoride; and the second layer can include petroleum, carbon black pigment, and a corrosion inhibitor, the corrosion inhibitor including magnesium. The coating has been found to improve corrosion resistance when applied to steel substrates, compared to wax coatings which are currently applied to steel substrates.

摘要: A method of producing an ultraviolet protective agent composition, which has high transparency and excellent protection ability against a light of ultraviolet region of wavelengths of 200 to 420 nm, and an ultraviolet protective agent composition obtained by the production method are provided. The method of producing an ultraviolet protective agent composition includes at least step (a) of precipitating iron oxide microparticles by mixing with a microreactor an iron oxide raw material fluid containing at least Fe3+ ion, and an iron oxide precipitation fluid containing at least a basic substance; and step (b) of dispersing the above precipitated iron oxide microparticles in a dispersion medium to obtain iron oxide microparticle dispersion, wherein a haze value of the iron oxide microparticle dispersion is 2.0% or less, and a transmittance of the iron oxide microparticle dispersion for the light of the wavelengths of 200 to 420 nm is 2.0% or less.
