    摘要： Disclosed is a method of fabricating a hosiery garment. The garment has a pair of limb portions and a torso portion knitted from a continuous tubular member in a seamless manner. A gusset is created on one side of said tubular member over a limited intermediate portion thereof by gathering fabric during said knitting. A slit is formed in said tubular member opposite the gusset to define said torso portion with said limb portions extending on either side thereof. A waistband is sewn on the slit to fold the linear tubular member about the torso portion's longitudinal axis. Preferably the ratio of fabric of the torso portion to the gusset is 5:1.

    摘要： A method of knitting an elastic drawcord product and an elastic band and drawcord composite product are described. The method involves knitting a pair of elastic webs in a laterally spaced relationship to each other, and securing a drawcord within the space between the elastic webs by way of first and second tying yarns. The first tying yarn reciprocates across the space between the first and second elastic webs and is alternatively secured to the side edges thereof along the front face of the elastic webs. The second tying yarn reciprocates across the space between the first and second elastic webs and is alternatively secured to the side edges thereof along the rear face of the webs, and the drawcord is secured between the two elastic webs and the first and second tying yarns. The tying yarns can be reciprocated for a number of courses, then held along the side of one of the webs for a predetermined number of courses before resuming reciprocation, to form sets of tie legs which cover spaced apart portions of the space between the elastic webs. The elastic drawcord product can be integrally formed on a knitting machine with the drawcord being inserted while the elastic threads in the elastic webs are in an extended form, to provide a drawcord with an effective length which is longer than that of the elastic band in its unextended condition.

    摘要： A method of the invention relates to treating a textile base material for thermobonding interlining, the material being constituted by a woven fabric or a weft knit that includes texturized synthetic threads, in particular air jet texturized threads, which form loops on a top face that is to receive spots of glue, and on an opposite, bottom face. The method consists in subjecting said textile base material, prior to applying spots of glue thereto, to emerizing or equivalent pre-treatment on its bottom face and to pre-treatment on its top face for reducing the height of the loops, e.g. singeing or heat treatment by radiation or by contact. Preferably, the textile base material is initially subjected to emerizing or equivalent pre-treatment on its bottom face, and subsequently to singeing pre-treatment on its top face.
