摘要： Aspects herein are directed to a recyclable, asymmetrical-faced composite nonwoven textile suitable for use in apparel and other articles and methods of making the same. In example aspects, the asymmetrical-faced composite nonwoven textile includes a first face formed, at least in part from a first entangled web of fibers and an opposite second face formed, at least in part from a second entangled web of fibers. When incorporated into an article of apparel, the first face forms an outer-facing surface of the article of apparel, and the second face forms an inner-facing surface of the article of apparel. The first face includes features making it suitable to form the outer-facing surface such as resistance to abrasion, and the second face includes features making it suitable to form an inner-facing surface such as a soft hand.

The nonwoven fabric can include a first surface and a second surface and a visually discernible pattern of three-dimensional features on one of the first or second surface. Each of the three-dimensional features can define a microzone comprising a first region and a second region. The first and second regions can have a difference in values for an intensive property, wherein at least one of the surfaces has a TS7 value of less than about 15 dB V2 rms, and wherein the first surface has a TS7 value that is higher than the second surface TS7 value.

摘要： An apparatus for making a spunbond nonwoven laminate having a plurality of spunbond nonwoven layers has a row extending in a travel direction of two, three, or four spinning beams each emitting a multiplicity of multicomponent crimped continuous filaments with the filaments of each beam having a degree of crimp different from that of the filaments of each of the other beams. Respective extruders supply each beam with the components of the respective filaments and respective supply units feed each of the extruders with the respective components. The rate at which the components are supplied to the extruders is adjusted for varying the proportions of the components in each filament. A conveyor extends in the direction below the beams and receives the filaments as respective layers from the respective beams.

The fabric can have a basis weight of less than 10 gsm and a tensile strength of at least 4 mJ in at least one predetermined direction. Method of making the fabric can include melt-blowing a polymeric material against a support surface and bonding the fibers or arranging them in a predetermined orientation. Pouched smokeless tobacco or tobacco substitute products including the fabrics provided herein can provide desirable flavor and tactile experience.

摘要： A fiber preform for use in a resin transfer molding or liquid composite molding process and process of making the same are provided. The preform includes a substrate, a fiber bundle arranged on the substrate in a predetermined pattern and attached to the substrate by a plurality of stitches of a thread. The fiber preform is capable of being pre-formed into a three-dimensional shape. The fiber preform along with a sheet of preformed thermoset resin that impregnates at least a portion of the fiber preform forms a composite material. The fiber preform reinforces areas of stress concentration of a core to form a vehicle component.
