摘要: The present invention relates to a biobased barrier film for a paper or paperboard-based packaging material, said barrier film comprising: a substrate layer and a coating layer disposed on at least one surface of the substrate layer, wherein said substrate layer has a grammage in the range of 1-60 g/m2 and comprises at least 50 wt % of highly refined cellulose pulp based on the dry weight of the substrate layer, and wherein said coating layer has a grammage in the range of 1-15 g/m2 and comprises at least 50 wt % of a film forming modified starch and 0.1-10 wt % of a biobased lubricant, based on the dry weight of the coating layer.

摘要: There is provided a coated paperboard comprising a base board having a top side provided with a pigment coating, which pigment coating comprises a pigment mixture, a binder and a rheology modifier, wherein: the pigment mixture comprises, by dry weight, 0-17% of clay, 60-90% of a first CaCO3 pigment and 0-30% of a second CaCO3 pigment, provided that the amount of clay and second CaCO3 pigment combined is at least 10%; the d50 of the first CaCO3 pigment is 0.60-0.80μιτι and the d98 of the first CaCO3 pigment is at least 2.8μιτι; the d50 of the second CaCO3 pigment is 0.63±0.10μιτι and the d75 of the second CaCO3 pigment is less than 1.2μιτι; the binder comprises a styrene-butadiene copolymer or a styrene-acrylate copolymer; and the dry weight ratio of pigment to binder in the pigment coating is from 100:16 to 100:20.

摘要: An oil-resistant agent including a non-fluorine compound containing a repeating unit formed from an acrylic monomer having an urea bond and alkyl group having 1 to 12 carbon atoms. The non-fluorine compound satisfies, in an X-ray diffraction (XRD) measurement, (iii) having a half width of a peak at 2θ of 15 to 25° of 2.0° or more at a measurement temperature of 25° C. The non-fluorine compound optionally further satisfies, in an X-ray diffraction (XRD) measurement, at least one of: parameters (i), (ii), (iv) and (vi) as defined herein relating to peak intensity or peak top, and in a differential scanning calorimetry measurement (DSC), parameter (vi) relating to a half width of a melting peak. Further, the non-fluorine compound has a hexadecane (HD) contact angle of 30° or more at a measurement temperature of 25° C. and/or is not soluble in corn oil at 25° C.

摘要: Disclosed herein is a printable paper comprising a cellulose-based substrate having a first surface and a second surface opposite the first surface, wherein the printable paper has a 2-minute Cobb sizing value of less than 20 g/m2, and wherein the first surface, the second surface, or both has a surface energy of greater than 37 dynes/cm. Further disclosed herein are shipping mailers, such as those derived from the printable papers, and recyclable flexible packaging containers, such as those comprising the printable papers. A method of making a recyclable flexible packaging container is also disclosed herein.
