Abstract: A disconnection mechanism, for engaging or disengaging a fixed component and a movable component arranged on a first shaft extending in a first direction. The disconnection mechanism includes a shift fork, connected to the movable component, and constructed to be able to reciprocate linearly in the first direction, so that the movable component is engaged with or disengaged from the fixed component. An actuator includes an output end which rotates about a rotation axis of the actuator at a distance from the rotation axis. A drive rod has a first end rotatably connected to the output end and a second end rotatably connected to the shift fork, so that the output end, when rotating, is able to drive the shift fork to reciprocate linearly.

Abstract: A claw clutch for positively connecting a first rotatable component to a second rotatable component. A claw clutch for motor vehicles having an electric drive train which permits a reliable connection of the claw clutch when tooth-on-tooth positions are released and, at the same time, reduces the number of moving elements on the sliding sleeve. A clutch body, which is arranged on the first rotatable component for conjoint rotation therewith, has a first tooth system and a sliding sleeve, which is arranged on the second rotatable component in a manner which allows conjoint rotation and axial movement, has a second tooth system and is axially movable via a shift fork by an actuator system in order to load a spring element by the actuator system in the case of a tooth-on-tooth position. The spring element to be loaded is arranged outside the second rotatable component equipped with the sliding sleeve.

Abstract: A clutched pulley assembly mountable to the shaft of a motor-generator unit (MGU) has a first sheave, with first spline teeth, rotatably mounted to the MGU shaft, and a second sheave, with second spline teeth, fixed to the MGU shaft. A slider gear with slider gear spline teeth is axially moveable between a torque transfer position, where the slider gear spline teeth simultaneously intermesh with the spline teeth of the first and second sheaves to operatively connect the sheaves to each other, and a torque cut-off position, where the slider gear spline teeth intermesh with the second sheave spline teeth but not the first sheave spline teeth so as to operatively disconnect the sheaves. An actuator drives the slider gear between the torque transfer and cut-off positions. The pulley assembly can be used in a stand-cooling mode wherein the engine is stopped but the MGU powers a load.

Abstract: An axle disconnect assembly, including: a housing and a clutch a shaft with first splines; a sleeve including second splines non-rotatably connected to the first splines, and axially extending teeth; a shift lever including at least one pivot pin, a first end connected to the sleeve, and a second end; and an actuation assembly including an actuation shaft engaged with the second end of the shift lever, and an actuator. In a connect mode, the teeth are non-rotatably connected to a power output. In a disconnect mode, the sleeve is rotatable with respect to the power output. To shift from the disconnect mode to the connect mode: the actuator rotates the actuator shaft; the actuator shaft pivots the shift lever around an axis of the at least one pivot pin; and the first end of the shift lever displaces the sleeve, with respect to the shaft, in an axial direction.

The dog gear assembly includes a dog gear, a retractable dog assembly configured for movement relative to the dog gear between an extended position and a retracted position, and a control element that controls movement of the retractable dog assembly. The dog ring includes a plurality of first dogs and the dog gear assembly includes a plurality of second dogs that engage the first dogs in the engaged condition, and that are disengaged from the first dogs in the disengaged condition. The second dogs include a plurality of fixed dogs that are mounted on the dog gear and a plurality of retractable dogs of the retractable dog assembly.

Abstract: A transmission that suppresses a tilt of a slider in an axial direction and reduces a dimension of the slider in the axial direction for downsizing is provided. A transmission includes a fifth-speed driven gear disposed on a counter shaft, a fifth-speed driving gear that always meshes with the fifth-speed driven gear and disposed on a main shaft, and a first slider disposed on the counter shaft to be movable in the axial direction in accordance with a shift operation. The first slider includes first dog recesses. The fifth-speed driven gear includes fifth-speed dog projections configured to mesh with the first dog recesses. The fifth-speed driven gear includes a fifth-speed driven gear protrusion only on a location closer to a radially outer peripheral end thereof than the counter shaft. The fifth-speed driven gear protrusion protrudes in the axial direction so as to contact the first slider when the first slider falls in the axial direction. The protrusion length of the fifth-speed driven gear protrusion is smaller than that of the fifth-speed dog projections.
