摘要: A light-emitting device includes a light-emitting element, a light-transmissive member, and a light adjustment member. The light adjustment member exposes a first upper surface and covers a second upper surface and a first lateral surface of the light-transmissive member. The light-transmissive member has a thickness from a lower surface to the first upper surface larger than a thickness from the lower surface to the second upper surface. In a plan view, first and second light-emitting regions have the first and second upper surfaces of the light-transmissive member, respectively, and an area of the second light-emitting region is in a range from 35% to 95% of an area of a light-emitting region. A boundary between the first and second light-emitting regions includes first and second points on a perimeter of a light-emitting region, and a straight line connecting the first and second points extends across the light-emitting region.

The laser light source includes multiple light-emitting units arranged in an array to provide an image beam. The wavelength converter is arranged downstream of an optical path of the laser light source. The wavelength converter is provided with a light dot matrix with the number of rows and columns greater than or equal to 40×40 to excite a part of the image beam into an excitation beam, and an unexcited part of the image beam is mixed with the excitation beam to generate a white beam.

摘要: A headlamp device includes a headlamp, an object detector, and a controller. The headlamp is mounted on a vehicle and includes a light emitting unit composed of multiple light emitting cells. The object detector detects an object around the vehicle and generates an object detection signal including object coordinates corresponding to a location of the detected object. The controller controls light of the headlamp based on information on the object coordinates. The controller may control the light emitting unit such that at least some light emitting cells are turned off according to an object detection signal. Each of multiple light emitting units includes a circuit board, the multiple light emitting cells separated from each other on the circuit board, a molding member formed between the light emitting structures, and a protective member formed on the molding member to surround sides of the multiple wavelength conversion members while filling a gap between the multiple wavelength conversion members.

The bonding layer connects together the second surface, the side surface, and a surface of the lower layer to keep the phosphor layer in intimate contact with the lower layer.

摘要: Apparatus including a hybrid light source for smart automotive-headlight applications. The hybrid light source includes: an LED light source of full-area illumination; a laser-pumped phosphor material that provides hot-spot illumination; a DMD having plurality of micromirrors coupled to receive light from the full-area illumination and the hot-spot illumination, wherein each micromirror selectively reflects light in one of a plurality of directions; and projection optics that receives light selectively reflected by the micromirrors and is configured to project the received light as a beam having a shaped illumination-intensity pattern. Another aspect includes an assembly including a heatsink; an LED on the heatsink that emits LED pump light; a first phosphor layer on the LED that absorbs LED pump light and outputs a full-area illumination having wavelength-converted light and an unconverted portion of LED pump light; and a laser-pumped second phosphor layer coupled to output wavelength-converted and laser light as hot-spot illumination.
