摘要: Methods, systems, and apparatuses are described for generating an interdental filler model for a patient. Locations for ends of the interdental filler model may be determined. A curvature of the interdental filler model may be determined. A shape of the interdental filler model may be determined. A first arc may be determined for a first end of the interdental filler model and a second arc may be determined for a second end of the interdental filler model. A set of arcs may be interpolated between the first arc and the second arc. The set of arcs may be grounded on the patient's gingiva. The interdental filler model may be generated based on the set of arcs.

摘要: A method for visualizing at least one region of a joint that deviates from a baseline anatomy includes receiving image data associated with a joint of a subject, generating a three-dimensional model of at least a portion of the joint using the image data, identifying at least one region of the joint that deviates from the baseline anatomy by comparing the three-dimensional model to a baseline model, generating a measurement of a characteristic of the joint at one or more predefined locations using the three-dimensional model and a coordinate system, and generating a three-dimensional rendering of the model that includes a visual indication of the at least one region of the three-dimensional model that deviates from the baseline so that the region is visually indicated according to degree of deviation, and a representation of the measurement of the characteristic of the joint that is positioned according to the predefined locations.

摘要: A computer-aided design system enables physical articles to be customized via printing or embroidering and enables digital content to be customized and electronically shared. A user interface may be generated that includes an image of a model of an article of manufacture and user customizable design areas that are graphically indicated on the image corresponding to the model. A design area selection may be received. In response to an add design element instruction and design element specification, the specified design element is rendered in the selected design area on the model image. Customization permissions associated with the selected design area are accessed. User edits to the design element may be received and rendered in real time. Manufacturing instructions may be transmitted to a printing system using a file that includes location, rotation, and/or scale data.

摘要: Devices and methods for assessing tissue contact based on dielectric properties and/or impedance sensing are disclosed. In some embodiments, one or more probing frequencies are delivered via electrodes including an electrode in proximity to a tissue (for example, myocardial tissue). In some embodiments, dielectric parameter values, optionally together with other known and/or estimated tissue characteristics, are measured to determine a contact quality with the tissue. In some embodiments, dielectric contact quality is used, for example, in guiding the formation of a lesion (for example, RF ablation of heart tissue to alter electrical transmission characteristics).

摘要: A method of constructing a mass-customized orthopedic implant comprising: (a) identifying features, where the features comprise at least one of landmarks and shape features, across a statistical atlas population of bones that is at least one of ethnic specific and gender specific; (b) generating descriptors relevant to implant design using the identified features across the statistical atlas population of bones; (c) grouping at least some of the descriptors into a group having similar descriptors; (d) parameterizing the group to extract parameters from the group; and, (e) generating an electronic design file for a mass-customized orthopedic implant.

摘要: A computer-implemented method designs a tying bar enclosing a plurality of concrete-reinforcing bars in a 3D scene of a computer-aided design system. The method a) provides the three-dimensional models of the concrete-reinforcing bars to be enclosed by the tying bar; and b) computes a set of traces of each of the concrete-reinforcing bars. Each trace has a trace center. Next a set of connection lines is computed. Each connection line binds the trace centers. A set of circular arcs is computed. Each circular arc surrounds at least partially a respective trace, and a set of segments. Each segment is approximately parallel to a respective connection line and connects consecutive circular arcs. The segments and circular arcs form a center curve of the tying bar in the sketch plane. Lastly, the tying bar is designed based on the center curve and the bar radius of the tying bar.

摘要: Techniques are provided for generation of synthetic 3-dimensional object image variations for training of recognition systems. An example system may include an image synthesizing circuit configured to synthesize a 3D image of the object (including color and depth image pairs) based on a 3D model. The system may also include a background scene generator circuit configured to generate a background for each of the rendered image variations. The system may further include an image pose adjustment circuit configured to adjust the orientation and translation of the object for each of the variations. The system may further include an illumination and visual effect adjustment circuit configured to adjust illumination of the object and the background for each of the variations, and to further adjust visual effects of the object and the background for each of the variations based on application of simulated camera parameters.

摘要: A method and system provide the ability to generate models. A generative shelled base is created as a hollow computer-aided design (CAD) design. A t-spline mid-surface shell is created from the generative shelled base, which is then used to create a shell mesh model. A t-spline solid body is created from the generative shelled base, which is used to create an internal support structure that is converted into a shell CAD geometry, which is used to create a support structure mid-surface shell. The support structure mid-surface shell is combined with the shell mesh model into a generative mid-surface mesh that is used in a computer-aided engineering (CAE) crash simulation. The generated shelled base is combined with the shell CAD geometry into a generative shelled solid that is utilized in an additive build simulation.

摘要: A resection guide locator includes a bone engagement portion with surfaces that are complementary to the surface topographies of a bone to be resected during surgery. A housing includes a socket defined by a resilient annular wall that is sized and arranged so to accept a resection guide by press-fit to thereby position and hold the resection guide within the socket. The resection guide is maintained in a predetermined, preferred position while the surfaces are releasably locked in position on the bone. A method is disclosed for forming and using the resection guide locator.

摘要: A method of modifying a CAD system model performed on a data processing system includes receiving a dataset of co-ordinates representing an article in 2d, or in 3d and receiving 2d or 3d constraints respectively, to be applied to any changes to the dataset of co-ordinates for the article. A modification to be applied to the dataset is received and combined with the relevant 2d and 3d constraints to produce a constrained modification for each of the article and associated article. The constrained modification is solved in 2d and in 3d to determine whether a solution exists in which all constraints are met. If the solve is successful, the constrained modification is applied to each dataset simultaneously and, updated datasets are stored. If the solve fails, the constraints may be reduced and the solve step repeated, or the process is terminated.
