摘要: A plastic item, such as a beverage bottle, conveys two distinct digital watermarks, encoded using two distinct signaling protocols. A first, printed label watermark conveys a retailing payload, including a Global Trade Item Number (GTIN) used by a point-of-sale scanner in a retail store to identify and price the item when presented for checkout. A second, plastic texture watermark conveys a recycling payload, including data identifying the composition of the plastic. The use of two different signaling protocols assures that a point-of-sale scanner will not spend its limited time and computational resources working to decode the recycling watermark, which lacks the data needed for retail checkout. In some embodiments, a recycling apparatus makes advantageous use of both types of watermarks to identify the plastic composition of the item (e.g., relating GTIN to plastic type using an associated database), thereby increasing the fraction of items that are correctly identified for sorting and recycling. A great number of other features and arrangements are also detailed.

The method includes generating a first verification image of a play plan according to a pre-generated first identification image and configuration information of a display terminal, the first identification image being configured to represent first identity authentication information configured to represent the play plan; generating to-be-displayed data according to the play plan, a multimedia file corresponding to the play plan, and the first verification image, so that the display terminal performs display in response to the to-be displayed data; receiving and analyzing a display image sent by the display terminal, and after a second identification image is derived from the display image, acquiring second identity authentication information; and comparing the second identity authentication information with the first identity authentication information, and determining whether the display image is correct according to a comparison result.

摘要: Systems and methods for providing variable trick-play mode playback of media content in accordance with embodiments of the invention are disclosed. A playback device stores images of the media content associated with presentation times and marker information for the media content that indicates the presentation time of moments of interest. When a trick-play mode is invoked, the playback device determines a presentation time of a next marker in the playback. The playback device determines whether the current presentation time of the playback is within a specified range of the presentation time of the next marker and adjusts the speed of the trick-play playback based on the determination. The next frame to present is determined based on the adjusted speed of the trick-play playback and displayed.

摘要: A vehicular vision system includes a camera disposed at an exterior portion of a side of a vehicle and viewing at least sideward and rearward of the equipped vehicle. A video display screen is disposed in an interior cabin of the equipped vehicle and displays video images derived from frames of image data captured by the camera. When no other vehicle is detected in another traffic lane, the video display screen displays video images representative of a first portion of the exterior scene viewed by the camera. Responsive to determination that another vehicle is in the other traffic lane and approaching from rearward of the equipped vehicle, the video display screen displays video images representative of a second portion of the exterior scene that includes the determined other vehicle. Responsive to detection of the other vehicle, the video display screen displays a graphic overlay overlaying the displayed video images.

摘要: Methods, apparatus, systems and articles of manufacture to improve deepfake detection with explainability are disclosed. An example apparatus includes a deepfake classification model trainer to train a classification model based on a first portion of a dataset of media with known classification information, the classification model to output a classification for input media from a second portion of the dataset of media with known classification information; an explainability map generator to generate an explainability map based on the output of the classification model; a classification analyzer to compare the classification of the input media from the classification model with a known classification of the input media to determine if a misclassification occurred; and a model modifier to, when the misclassification occurred, modify the classification model based on the explainability map.
