Abstract:
An implantable medical device (IMD) having a hermetic housing formed from a case and a cover each having an exterior surface and an interior surface. An IMD component is mounted to the interior surface of the cover and has an electrical contact. A hybrid circuit is assembled in the case. The IMD component electrical contact is electrically coupled to the to the hybrid circuit assembled in the case.
Abstract:
An implantable medical device (IMD) can include a cardiac pacemaker or an implantable cardiac defibrillator (ICD). Various portions of the IMD, such as a case or device body, the lead body, or the lead tip, can be provided to reduce or dissipate a heat production due to a current induced by various external environmental factors. According to various embodiments, features or portions can be incorporated into the lead body, the lead tip, or the IMD body to reduce the creation of an induced current, or dissipate or increase the area of dissipation of thermal energy created due to an induced current in the lead.
Abstract:
A diffraction grating for which the intensity and/or direction of the diffracted light is electronically modulated using the electrophoresis of an index-modifying species. Index-modifying dye ions are dissolved in an electrophoretic medium maintained adjacent the diffraction grating. Application of a voltage across the medium moves many of the ions into the region adjacent the grating such that the ions absorb the incident light or otherwise modify the local index of refraction so as to change the optical characteristics of the diffracted light. Application of an opposite voltage across the medium moves many of the ions away from the grating, allowing light rays to diffract in a different manner when encountering the grating.
Abstract:
The present disclosure describes a removable temporary protecting film, engendered from a liquid composition, formulated by aqueous dispersions of polyurethanes, wax, release agents, cross-linking agents, ultraviolet stabilizer agents, thickening agents, filler agents, and additives. Such film is used to temporary protect polymeric or metallic substrates, either coated or not, and ceramic and glass substrates from light scratching, some chemical products, dust, and water. Likewise, the temporary protective film, engendered from a liquid composition can be easily peeled out from metallic substrates, either painted or not, plastic objects in general and chromed pieces. Such liquid composition can be applied following conventional aspersion or immersion procedures, or by the use of a brush o roll.

Adhesive articles comprising a primer consisting essentially of nanoparticles and methods of making the adhesive articles are provided. The adhesive article may include a polymeric foam substrate and/or an adhesive comprising less than 5% by weight of acrylic acid units.
Abstract:
Provided are a flexible pressure vessel, methods of making and using, and kits comprising the flexible pressure vessel. The flexible pressure vessel comprises a first and second layer, each comprising a flexible, liquid impervious material having a plurality of edges. A first edge of the first layer is bonded to a first edge of the second layer by a fold-over seal, and a second edge of the first layer is bonded to a second edge of the second layer with a fold-over seal.
