Bridge tape comprised of thermally foamable composition, useful for applying coating material through holes in the tape to a substrate beneath the tape, after which the holes can be sealed by heating to cause the foamable composition to foam and expand the foam to seal the holes. The bridge tape comprised of a foamable composition on a backing material, preferably a cloth tape, with an adhesive coating. In preferred embodiments the die-cut patch has a plurality of holes passing through said die-cut patch.

An apparatus for decorating an article includes a decorative sheet member having a first side and a second side, neither of the first and second sides having an adhesive; a fixation sheet member having a third side configured to be attached to a surface of the article, the third side including a first adhesive with a first adhesion characteristic; and a fourth side, opposite the third side and configured to receive one of the first and second sides of the decorative sheet, the fourth side having a second adhesive with a second adhesion characteristic, the second adhesion characteristic being less permanent than the first adhesion characteristic.

The present invention refers to a thermally debondable tape having a base adhesive layer and at least one thermally releasable adhesive layer comprising an adhesive and thermally expandable particles. The debondability even after long term storage or use shall be enhanced. In this regard the base adhesive layer has a lower adhesion at expansion temperature of the thermally expandable particles than at room temperature.

기포 안정성이 높고 박리강도가 우수한 폼 테이프의 기재 조성물 및 이를 이용한 폼 테이프, 이의 제조방법에 대하여 개시한다. 본 발명에 따른 폼 테이프 기재 조성물은 아크릴계 모노머, 라디칼 개시제, 가교제, 다공성 필러 및 계면활성제를 포함하고, 상기 계면활성제는 실록산계 폴리머 60 ~ 90 중량%와 비실록산계 폴리머 10 ~ 40 중량%를 포함하여, 이를 통해 제조된 폼 테이프는 기존의 폼 테이프에 비하여 경제적이면서 점착력의 저하가 없고 기포 안정성이 우수한 폼 테이프를 제조할 수 있는 장점이 있다.
Abstract:
Masking tapes that changes color when the tape is rubbed down or dispensed onto an adherend and methods of making such tapes are disclosed herein. The tape includes a backing, a layer of adhesive on the bottom surface of the backing, and a release structure on the top surface of the backing that includes a pressure-chromic indicator and a release layer. The pressure-chromic indicator is characterized in that it is not activated by the pressure applied during the manufacturing process, but is activated by the pressure applied when the tape is rubbed or dispensed onto an adherend.
