The apparatus provides means to secure the inner vessel to the outer vessel through a bottom-support component (16) and a side-support component (20). These components consist of mating structures of different configurations that provide inner vessel (22) with constraints for horizontal, lateral, vertical and rotational degrees of freedom while at the same time achieving minimal physical contacts between the inner (22) and outer container vessels (12) to reduce heat leak into the inner cryogenic container (22).

The invention can be used for storing liquefied gas for the fuel and energy industry. The inventive device comprises a tank (1) arranged on supports and placed in a bank (17), a pipe for a vapour phase (13), a pipe (16) for extracting liquefied gas which is connected to the bottom part of the tank (1), a pipe (14) for loading liquefied gas, a drain pipe (15), a shielding pipe (10) and a supporting wall (18) adjacent to the bank (17). The shielding pipe (10) is connected to the external surface of the tank (1). The vapour phase pipe (13), the pipe for loading liquefied gas (14) and the drain pipe (15) are arranged in the cavity of the shielding pipe (10) and fixed on to the tank (1) one side thereof and to the end flange (10') of the shielding pipe (10) on the other side. The ends of the vapour phase pipe (13), liquefied gas loading pipe (14) and of the drain pipe (13) arranged inside the tank (1) are embodied such that they are curved. The supporting wall (18) is provided with two through holes. The shielding pipe (10) is arranged in one hole and the pipe (6) for extracting liquefied gas passes through the second hole. Said device can be embodied in the form of several tanks and provided with recirculation pipes (23). The aim of the invention is to develop a compact and safe gas storage device.

A system and method for assembling a fuel tank is disclosed. A measuring device is mounted on a carriage on which at least one machine tool (e.g., saw, router) is also mounted. This carriage is operatively interconnected with a computer and may be longitudinally moved between a headstock and tailstock which are longitudinally displaced and on which various subassemblies of the fuel tank may be mounted during the assembly of a given fuel tank. Length measurements are preferably made of each fuel tank subassembly prior to any machining operation being executed thereon, as well as after each such machining operation, by monitoring/knowing the longitudinal position of the carriage via the measuring device. These length measurements may be automatically recorded on an appropriate computer-readable storage medium in relation to the subject fuel tank subassembly and the subject fuel tank. This information may be used to evaluate supplier compliance with engineering specifications and/or performance of the system in assembling fuel tanks.

A system and method of receiving field gas from a compressor station pipeline, and compressing the gas at a remote location with a modular compressor. The compressed gas is collected in a container and transported to a wellsite for use at the wellsite. The gas from the pipeline is directed to the container, and diverted to the modular compressor when pressure in the container approaches pressure in the pipeline. The modular compressor discharge is piped to the container, so that the container is filled with additional gas and at the discharge pressure of the modular compressor.
