Embodiments described herein relate generally to wearable electronic biosensing garments. In some embodiments, an apparatus comprises a biosensing garment and a plurality of electrical connectors that are mechanically fastened to the biosensing garment. A plurality of printed electrodes is disposed on the biosensing garment, each being electrically coupled, via a corresponding conductive pathway, to a corresponding one of the plurality of electrical connectors. The apparatus can further include an elongate member including a conductive member that is coupled to a plurality of elastic members in a curved pattern and that is configured to change from a first configuration to a second configuration as the elongate member stretches. The change from the first configuration to the second configuration can result in a change of inductance of the conductive member.

Examples of the disclosure enable a printed circuit board (102) to be coupled to a chassis. In some examples, a coupling mechanism (104) includes a first body (118) including a head portion (120) and a shaft portion (122) that has an inner surface defining a channel (138). The coupling mechanism (104) includes a second body (156) including a head portion (158) and a shaft portion (160). At least a part of the second body shaft portion is positionable within the channel. An outer surface (174) of the second body shaft portion is sized to enable the second body shaft portion to expand radially or move laterally within the channel when the part of the second shaft portion is positioned within the channel. Examples of the disclosure enable the printed circuit board to be coupled to a chassis in low-profile, reduced-stress manner.

An assembly (15) for transferring and dissipating heat generated by electrical devices is disclosed. The assembly comprises a substrate (1) for holding electrical components, a heat transferring element (2) and a thermal interface material (3). The substrate (1) is coupled to the heat transferring element (2) by means of coupling members (4) which are integrally formed with the heat transferring element (2). The thermal interface material (3) is arranged between the substrate (1) and the heat transferring element (2) and in thermal contact with surfaces (7, 8) of the substrate (1) and the heat transferring element (2), respectively. Thereby, an assembly with a more stable thermal performance over its lifetime compared to known assemblies may be provided. A method for producing an assembly is also disclosed.

A circuit board threadplate for connection of a component to a circuit board is provided wherein such threadplate may be mechanically mounted to a circuit board without the use of manual labor. Specifically, the threadplate is compatible with present Surface Mount Technology robotic placement machines. Such circuit board threadplate comprises a hollow substantially cylindrical member forming an extruded neck having an elongated section and a substantially flat surface at a first end of the elongated section and a flange extending from a second end of the elongated section. The flange provides a substantially flat surface suitable for soldering onto a surface of a circuit board. Additionally, the threadplate comprises a cylindrical cavity positioned inside the substantially cylindrical member, extending in a direction aligned with the substantially cylindrical member. The cylindrical cavity may have a thread pattern suitable for receiving a screw-type fastener. Finally, the threadplate comprises an opening providing access to the cylindrical cavity.
