Abstract:
An image processing system is used for dentistry. Upon creating a false tooth of a patient (59), a plurality of illuminating light of LEDs with different wavelengths emit light and a photographing apparatus (1A) photographs a tooth portion of the patient (59), thereby obtaining image data. The image data is sent to a dentistry filing system (2A) serving as a processing apparatus, and color reproducing data is obtained by calculation. The color reproducing data is sent to a dentistry factory (55) via a public line. Data is searched from a database (56) for calculating a ceramic compounding ratio, compound data of the ceramic false tooth is obtained, matching the color of the tooth portion of the patient (59), and the false tooth approximate to the tooth color of the patient (59) is created.
Abstract:
A sensor and method for remotely determining a presence of a particular substance based on spectral data of the particular substance is disclosed. The sensor includes a sampling module configured to detect radiation from a particular substance using an interferometer, wherein the sampling module includes a control module that is configured to guide and measure spacing of samples taken by the sampling module; a focal plane module configured to detect and convert an interference pattern produced by the interferometer into a series of digital samples; a reference spectra modification module configured to modify reference spectra by modifying according to the measured spacing of samples and an instrument line shape of the sampling module; an estimation module configured to receive the converted series of digital samples and transform the non-uniformly spaced digital samples into frequency space using band centers determined from reference spectra as modified by the instrument line shape of the sampling module; a comparison module configured to compare the transformed digital samples against a database of known chemical signatures; and a determination module configured to determine the presence of the particular substance based on the results of the comparison.
Abstract:
A spectrophotometer comprising a monolithic semiconductor substrate, one or more wavelength dispersing means, and one or more wavelength detecting means, wherein the monolithic substrate (1) has waveguide means (2) and one or more resonators (3-14) acting as detectors of particular light wavelengths and disposed in proximity to the waveguide means in such a way that evanescent light coupling can occur for said light wavelengths.
Abstract:
An apparatus includes a three dimensional array of light receptors disposed within a substrate having a light receiving surface, where light receptors disposed closer to the light receiving surface are responsive to light having shorter wavelengths than light receptors disposed further from the light receiving surface, and where each light receptor is configured to output a binary value and to change state between an off-state and an on-state by the absorption of at least one photon.
Abstract:
A spectral characteristic obtaining apparatus including a light irradiation unit configured to emit light onto a reading object; a spectroscopic unit configured to separate at least a part of diffused reflected light from the light emitted onto the reading object by the light irradiation unit into a spectrum; and a light receiving unit configured to receive the diffused reflected light separated into the spectrum by the spectroscopic unit and to obtain a spectral characteristic. The light receiving unit is configured to be a spectroscopic sensor array including plural spectroscopic sensors arranged in a direction, and the spectroscopic sensors include a predetermined number of pixels arranged in the direction to receive lights with different spectral characteristics from each other.
